nice plant man looking real nice cant wait to see the full colas even some buds for the after harvest
sorry for the inactivity.
I was on holiday in Canada for just over a month.
Whilst I was away, my mother replanted the plants into the ground, not in pots anymore.
The thing is... I planted the seeds at the wrong time, being a noobie and all. This mid winter (our winters are still hot, but with longer nights, perfect for flowering outdoors). So because of the light period being closer to 12/12 they started flowering early (correct me if im mistaken).
Now that it's full blown summer (like 8-9 hours darkness) and BRIGHT african sun, the plants just stopped flowering and went into rapid vegitative growth, which they are currently in now.
The sick plant was also replanted, and is doing very well. But is growing tall and lanky because of it being pot bound and having hot roots in that plastic pot. I will prune it a bit.
Will post pics soon. sorry about inactivity :D
nice to know someone was watching silently ;)
fuck mate u might want 2 lst and top the hell out of them 2 keep the hight down or ur going to have trees buy the time there ready 2 flower .since there in the ground and they already had a good head start for summer.
:smokin:ss
yea, those things would be pretty fucking huge come next flowering season...wouldnt be all that bad, some SERIOUS bud would be had but those would be some monsters to take care of
Yeah i know. It's amazing how fast they grow once planted in the ground!
The sick plant recovered instantly and is already twice the size. Could you point me to a good thread on how to prune plants? or how to tie them down to grow outwards and not upwards.
Thanks in advance.
Oh... pics are coming soon! promise ;)
anyways, here is the promised update. Will get some macro shots in soon.
Hasn't started flowering yet...
In a way I'm glad they stopped flowering and went back into veg. growth. At the end of the day I'll have a bigger harvest :)
As you can see, the plants have been replanted into the ground and are growing fast!
The sick, deathly looking plant, when replanted just auto-healed itself :D The structure of the plants are so different because of the different sized pots they were in previously.
Anyways, comments are appreciated!
Looks good. I think your smaller plant wasn't sick it just didn't like that size pot. The pot was way too small to grow a healthy plant. That is why it recovered so fast after transplanting. I think the small flies you had could have been fungus gnats which lay their eggs in soil (usually waterlogged). They won't bother the leaves but the larvae will eat the roots. There is a biological control that you can put on the soil that will confuse the gnats and they stop reproducing. Gnatrol is what it's called. I think since you've transplanted it probably won't be a problem anymore. But my outdoor garden gets them from time to time. When they start to flower you might want to give them more than Seagrow. Find an organice bloom fert and use that. Wish my landscaping looked like that. :) Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the comment and encouragement :)
I think the pot thing could have been the problem, you're right.
About the gnat and fly problem... Well, since the transplant all seems good. You were right there too :) No more gnats!
The landscaping, heh. That's my little garden outside my room. I might plant a few seedlings in the propper garden out front. The only problem is that the garden is pretty visible to the road :/
Has anyone heard of or used those lowrider, auto-flowering seeds? do they actually work?
OK, well here is an update!
Both plants have grown a lot in the past few weeks, especially the one on the right.
Also... I THINK that they started flowering. But, I'm not sure if it is just pre-flowers which for some reason are bushying up more than usual... They have been flowering for a week now. The one plant looks further along than the other.
Here are the pics, comments and advice would be great! I'm going to go buy some organic flowering/bloom neuts today.
Help please!
Yes, the plant started to flower...but there is nothing you can do, or have to do....only watering...and that organic flowering nute is a good idea....
Ok well...
Time for an update!
The plants are currently in week 2 of flower, and are doing well.
Today I started them on some really good neuts. Flora Series from General hydroponics. (GENERAL HYDROPONICS)
Below are some pics.
Comments and criticism would be greatly appreciated. I especially need advice on trimming or pruning the plants.
Thanks! You guys have been great so far :)
I wouldn't trim anything other than the bottom branches at this point. Beauty plants!

comments and advice would be lovely!~
first and foremost, WOW!!!!!!!!
ive grown outside for like 5 years now and have NEVER had plants as bushy as that......
secondly, as long as those babies are getting amplle light, theres no need to trim anything.
all you need to do is sit back, relax, and water those trees with some of that organic nute formula you picked up.
i have a feeling your yeild is gonna be rather pleasant.
Thank you :)
They do look sexy for outdoor grown plants, I must admit.
Must be that African sun ;)
Oh no...
Last night we had gale force winds.
Half of my one plant blew down! Pics coming soon! :<
Aaaahhh, well.
To start off... Half my plant blew off during last nights winds :< (as u can see in the picture) lol, I didn't see our cone headed cat when i took the picture. Pretty funny though ;)
Anyways, i sampled some of the bud that fell off.. Just a quick day and microwave dry. and guys... wow i had a TINY hit and i am seriouisly stoned right now.. I can't wait for the final product :D
here are some pics....
Bit sad that half my plant blew off though :<
Atleast the buds are looking spectacular!
p.s. i resized the images a bit differently. They are a higher resolution now. enjoy :)
4th week into flower...

And WOW. The wind right now is GALE FORCE. Lets hope the other plant survives :< it's getting thrown around quite a bit. Would be a shame if something had to happen to it now :<
A small bottom branch broke off the plant in the wind :<
It didn't have any big buds on, just a few nuggets. i harvested it anyways... The biggest nugget was the size of my thumb.
It wasn't much. but it will keep me going before the big day :D
just a few more day time snaps. :>
what the fuck. Thouse R the most beautiful outdoor plants I have seen on here since last year.
keep up the great work.

I'm sure yours will do just as well. You've got a few grow experiences behind you, remember.
Thanks again!
also I was worndering about how many hours of sun light ur plants get.
Sunlight... hmmm
well in summer we have sunrise at around 6, and sunset at around 8-9. Now winter is approaching so the plants have less light. Here's a chart if you want a bit more info.
Cape Town, South Africa - Sunrise, sunset, dawn and dusk times for the whole year - Gaisma
I asked cuz I am hoping to get enought good sun light for my outdoor babies to grow big like URs.
so I guess if my babies can get around 10-16 hours of good sunlight the they'll grow nicely.
well I have a nother 100 tokes to that.
Just a picture update.
A new one I took today... Not a big update, I just particularly liked this picture, and I hope you do too :)
