All 3 buds are the very best i would be lucky to find from an average dealer. They look identical to the pics of the same strains on the internet.

nailhead: i cannot even believe there are staff so uneducated, the one i visited had an extremely friendly staff, recommending between the indicas and sativas and just a great selection too. I didnt think bad clubs existed, but i guess i will keep on the lookout.
The Meds at each dispensary will vary, and you need to plan to visit a couple to get what is right for your ailment. RULE OF THUMB: sativas for daily (light) relief of pain, indicas and indica-dominant strains for evening pain relief and insomnia.
DISCLAIMER: every person's body chemistry is different so you'll just have to try a couple of different strains and see what you respond to... not a bad thing to try, IMO.
If you are in the LA area there are a number of co-ops/dispensaries but be aware that your doctor cannot TELL you where to go for meds, only give you a rec (doctors recommendation). You need to find out the rest by going to CANorml or a similar site and search for Patients Clubs or Dispensaries.
There's a decent place in the Naples area of Long Beach (HSCC) where I picked up an OZ of organic sour diesel which was damn fine for 300 but overall the Valley has the best prices and selection... I could tell ya a site to find them but I'm new here and don't know the rules... ;)
Whatever you do be careful on the boards as they are public and LEO's are all over them

Yes.. When I go to Arcata I love the selection..Purple and Buba Cush one of my favs..The sweet after taste of Buba Cush..is awesome.. However..Tsnomi ..sounds great is wasnt for me..It wasnt great for my pain, I want to try the Cindy which I think is just Cinderella.. not sure. The buds look fan-fuckin-tasstic .. but not sure about the high on that one. I know Sour Diesal for me is the most potent when they have it.. best, stickiest, stinkiest shit around..HUMBOLDT CO. A lot of mis-information in this thread.
The herb isn't 'much' better than off the streets and it's usually just as expensive and most of the time more. Many times the dispensaries need to stock the shelves quickly so the vendors harvest as soon as possible, not a good thing. I can't tell you how many times you'll find $70 1/8ths that have been harvested too early...all about making the dollar. That's why it pays to grow your own, and if you live in a state with medical MJ then that is the preferred route regardless since you can grow legally per the state.
You'll never find any Kush strain for less than $55 1/8 at any So Cal clubs unless they have some sort of special (customer appreciation day, etc)...and that's up to the club entirely. The cheapest you'll find is ~$35-40 1/8 for mid-low grade once in a while, and that's usually just for left over 'combined' shake they want to get rid of. The average price for clubs in So Cal is $55-70 an eighth (some places in the OC charge $80 1/8) for anything descent (Kush strains, Haze strains, and Purple strains). I've been to MANY clubs and never seen any Kush strain for less that $55 1/8 unless it was shake.
I'll never complain as it beats waiting on your hook-up to come through if you're in between grows. This way I just walk in to the local dispensary and pick from a menu of 15+ different strains (some places have 25+), some even sell MJ concentrates such as Hash/Kief and most sell MJ cookies/brownies also. Once you find a place you like it's a one-stop trip and you never have to wait on anyone or hope your hook-up has product, it's just always there at your convenience. HTH

Silent smoker i dunno man. I saw some mighty good looking strains for $50. Sure there were no good ones under that, but at the club i went to all of it ranged from 50-60 per eighth.
And i guess you must have a great dealer, because compared to the couple dealers i can buy from, this stuff was much better. The same quality as when i visited holland. I do believe the club i went to was very top quality though.
I honestly didnt think they sold any bud that was harvested too early like you say. I dont see how they can afford to, when all there other weed is super good, they wont cut corners to get more. They already had shitloads just sitting around in the jars.
Although if your in so cal since theres soo many clubs down there i can see how. Where im at there is only 2 clubs within a block of eachother, and the next closest is hour or 2 drive away.

The clubs in SF I went to always charged $45-$50 for 1/8, but I never really bought an eigth, as I always bought an Oz or 2. I dunno what street prices are for an Oz.

I can get an 1/8 of high grade puick a name or flavor for $50, grams of purple urkle dark dark dank brown and black hashish for $30 a gram, killer kif for a can you believe it, $10 a gram. Those are "street" prices for around here
ps i have some OG Kush coming from Holistic right now at 80 bucks an 8th and my prediction is that it will not medicate me. ill take some pictures of my delivery and post them when the delivery arrives. it may look like marijuana but i really really really think its hemp. ive read alot of things about these elite strains and they say they sometimes have a huge effect despite tolerance.......i must be going crazy or seriously have a brain tumor or something

Yes and no. The grower tells the dispensary, "I've got nameyourstrain." and the dispensary has no real way of knowing if it's authentic nameyourstrain or not. If you're hell bent on a particular strain that you really like, good luck getting it. Hey can't say enough about Ken and the delivery service in IE. It takes a hell of a lot of guts to do what he is doing, I hope that all will always be well for him. I highly recommend anyone in the area to give him a try, quality is there and prices are fair, especially once you factor in the drive time, gas ect....:thumbsup:
Was cheaper for me than street prices. I went to Venice last week and hooked up with some LSD x Purple Kush that has been keeping me higher than I have ever been in my 43 years of life. I can't remember the 1/8th price but I paid $480 for an ounce, that's $60 an 1/8th. I had Spinal Fusion last January and this is the first time I have been able to go without prescription pain and spasm medications i.e. Hydrocodone, Soma, and sleeping pills. The price might be a little steep but keeping all those prescription meds out of my liver is priceless.
I pay on average $75 an 8th at my place in the desert, only way of getting around the price is to go into LA but fuck that shit, the drive alone isn't worth saving $15. If Ron Paul gets into office prices will drop dramatically, otherwise we are pretty much stuck with these prices.

:DI agree, but my question is why are they calling a dispensary a co op? I know of a person that grows on their land a co op and all the card holder/rec grow together on someone's else land. Can't anyone grow their own? Or find someone that will? Instead of paying highly for herb? Federal law, is a big issue but if your able to, grow... why not. There are many diffrent ways of doing so, and books to help get you started, and some groups that you can meet others whom will be willing to help you get started by talking about it. Sb420/Prop215 state laws, all saids you can grow for yourself...as long as your a qualified patient with a rec/card (ca nationwide card)check online on it and read it for yourself.... anyway i would think so...especially if you dont want to travel the distance to a dispensary and pay high prices for yur meds... grow it yourself...lol:D

If not, sorry I broke a rule! I did not go to Catholic School and do not want to bend rules, etc. Just want to get a true Co-op where we do not sell, just help each other. Of course, the people that supply Co-op's may not be happy, so this may be a troubled thread. Supply, Co-op vs. Disp: I.E. has a problem with supply. Just read someone knows of over 6 in I.E.: Finding them in Hi Desert is not easy, just read that someone is starting a delivery, by appt. on certain days only!
Lack of suppliers-wonder if it has to do with the reputation of the Hi Desert and prev. illegal ops over many decades! Hopefully, this is going to change! And in due time, I expect we will have a Co-op owned and run by the growers and users, exclusive to them only: LIke the food Co-ops that grow, share costs and split the product! I have seen it work in Eureka (food Co-ops)! Of course, there will be a lot of legal stuff to set into play to prevent losing it all to police! Do you have any new info to add to this?
