Looks like those girls have a good caretaker! Keep 'em comin Shov.
It's been 8 weeks and time to flip. However, I just picked up a nute pack from Technafloura Plant Products so I fed them the menu as shown. The 12 or so plants take 4 gallons of water with "BC Boost", "BC Grow", "Thrive Alive B1 Red", and a foliar feeding of "Thrive Alive B1 Green".
While the plants are dripping and drying I will swap out the (8) 4' 5000K flourescent tubes for the 3000K Flowering Stage lighting.
I will use plain water for the next two feedings and go to the Technafloura Flowering Stage products.
Have any of you tried these products and have an opinion of their value?
Thanks,
Sho
Sorry I can't help ya there Shov. Never used em. Where's the pics? lol No pressure though, no pressure.
I have to cull the crop. Too crowded in the 3' x 4' space.
I had been waiting to cull male plants but each of the 12 plants to show sex have been females!
Here are the remaining four plants. They are looking pretty fine, but haven't shown preflowers and like I said, too crowded so out they go.

A couple of other growing points of interest. I also trained the remaining plants. Kind of lst but the way I do this (usually outdoors) is to fold the long branches right over. Now the plants are taking over a larger footprint of light but more of the bottoms of each plant get better light too. Bottom line, everything is as crowded as before.
Also, Last night I noticed that the light timer had not shut off. It was broken. So I replaced it with a spare and since I had (thought that I had) started 12-12, I wasn't sure how long I was on 24-0 Definetly only a day or so. So I set it up for 6 am-6 pm lights on starting tomorrow am. So, the plants will have a dark period for about 30 hours before they start into flowering stage.....again. : )
The (4) culled plants are just too nice to ditch outright, and I'd like to see if actually, all 16 plant are females (indoors they are 12 for 12 so far...no males!) So, I put the four plants in a cold frame. They will have to go 8 weeks at least to maturity and in Vermont this is doubtful, but we've had some weird weather lately, so here goes!
I'll post a pic of the two Afghani plants at the end of this week or so.
Shov
What's a cold frame?
a cold frame is like a low-rise greenhouse. Just a wooden frame sitting on the ground with a pane of glass on top. It keeps the cold night air from the plants and heats up the soil nicely during the day.

Ahh...thank you. Bummer about those 4 beauties you had to toss. Next time ship those babies my way and I'll find them homes....:D
The Premier strain is Foxy's Afghani x Bog Medley
Here are two females.
[attachment=o162231]
Other good strains are the "Y" and "Z"
Here's one Y and four Z females.
[attachment=o162232]
[attachment=o162233]
Also a Premier strain is our Vermont Bubblegum. This seed bred stock is still very potent herb and a favorite. These are weeks younger and have not sexed as of yet...fingers crossed!

Gorgeous Shov. Excellent work. :thumbsup:
You've definitely got some bushes there Shov! They look like they're lovin life so far.
Bless your little hearts!
I still have a serious crowding problem to deal with. Imagine those nine plants are in a 3' x 4' space with 352 watts of flourescent tubes? They are stuffed...what to do, what to do?
Sho
ha ha.....they'll blow your walls out Shov......:eek:
Sounds like a SOG to me.....ummm maybe not on purpose, but a SOG none-the-less!?!
ha ha.....they'll blow your walls out Shov......
the "walls" are nothing but cardboard stock with mylar. : )
but, I added a 250 watt HID. I still may have to 86
some more plants or branches i n the future.

The grow is two weeks into flowering now. I've continued to thin the crop and now have only 8 female plants (no males), but it's as thick as it's ever been.
This is a "Z". As I posted early on, I FIMed the Zs, the Ys, the Afghani hybrids. About two weeks ago I bent them over kind of like a LST but not so much on the "L" (light). I have four Zs and one Y.
[attachment=o163011]
This one is an Afghani hybrid, there are two of these varieties.
[attachment=o163012]
And this is a Bubblegum from seed. I've only one of these. It was started a few weeks later than the others. The other BG was the only male that sprouted this grow. I did not FIM or train this plant either. I'm hoping for good weight from this one as BG is my fav amongst these varieties.

Thank you for your kind attention,
Shov : ]
Lookin good shov. That Bubble Gum looks especially good!
All's progressing pretty well.
Here's the Bubblegum

Wow! They look beautiful. The Afghani X needs a bigger pot soon.... :D
thanks.
off topic...I'm kickin back with a new mc parts catalog (wish book), burnin' a couple of bowls of afghani and drinkin' Tim Wakfield Knuckleball Wine. heheh
Sho
And not a friggin care in the world huh shov? lol
26 days of flowering.
Here's a picture of the afghani taken in the back yard. There's one other afghani that looks the same as this one. Notice the bigger pots!

One of the four "Z" plants (again, they all are identical)

Here is the only Bubblegum I have going this grow. It is smaller than the others as it is a few weeks younger.

There are still a total of eight plants and they are all very healthy. I watered them with a little molasses this morning and gave them a little foliage feeding with B1. The temperature stays around 80ยบ during light hours and down to the 70s at night.
Sho
They look absolutely wonderful shov!! :thumbsup: How much molassas due you use in watering them and how often do you add it?
Of course you can see that the plants are in soil.
Anyhow, I use 2 tablespoons to the gallon. And at this time I can feed each of the plants 2 quarts of liquid at each watering. I water every 2-3 days.
And like I said, I'm using two gallons (2 quarts each for eight plants = 2 gallons).
The plants will probably not get much "thirstier" from this point on, maybe three gallons every other day.
I have a cycle of three. Nute - Molasses/Water -Plain Water.
I'm using a technofloura nute program.
Thanks for asking.
Sho
I just re-read my last post.
I'm pretty wrecked, had a bowl for lunch LMAO!
Im not sure it makes sense. <G>
shO
Makes plenty of sense shov. And wow those girls LOOOOVE you. They really have great color.
Shovel, I'm doing a very simular watering.
molasses only, ferts and molasses, water only.
I think having a rotating watering schedule goes a long way in making sure the girls don't get too much of a good thing.
If more soil growers would truly understand that Skrappie, they'd save themselves a world of grief, huh?Quote:

Here's a weak photo of one of the "Z" bagseed plants. It was FIMed and has many, many 4-5" buds all around the plant. Top branches were also bent/broken over to keep even lighting all around the plants. They still keep growing nice and green.
Other than one Bubblegum, the rest of the plants all look like this one. Tomorrow they get another dose of flowering nutes.

Just beeeeeautiful shov! Are you running a combination of flowering bulbs and veg bulbs, or all flowering bulbs?
Right now, the lamps are all soft white light from 3000K -3500K.
The veg lamps I used were 500K-6500K.
I accidentally cut off a short bud last week. waiting patiently for it to dry out. : ]
how many lamps r u using shovel
Shov toss that bud onto something warm like your tv or fridge and it will dry out faster (just gentle heat)
Your plants are AWESOME big HEALTHY beasts. I see a VERY happy X-mas coming your way. :thumbsup:
I put it on the back of the stove as my wife made chocolate brownies with a solid chocolate bar center. The Bud dried out, I rolled a dube and smoked it. It was potent enough , but tasted for shyt, really. <G>
Howeva, I don't have to smoke that (thank God) The afghani BOG from last grow is grand!

Looking very nice!!!
