daaamm dude. they look killer.
Thanks guys!
The Misty plant in the center was starting to lean over cause of the weight on top. So I tied here down to prevent an accident!
Here are the WW micro plants. They are still in the original seedling pots! :p
The two plants in the left pot are both females. I haven't had any males yet from my White Widow seeds.
very leafy and fluffy... what kind of bloom fertilizer are you giving them?Quote:

I haven't been able to give them much bloom nutes yet cause every time I'm gonna give them some, it rains alot. Like last night. As mentioned earlier in the thread, I fed them with Big Bloom. I also mulched the soil with leaves and the like from my compost pile. The Misty in the center is skinny and tall, that's why the her buds look the way they do. I LOVE the other plant. It's short and it's putting on some nice thickness.I keep finding more females. Out of my 9 potted White Widows, 7 are females so far! :D
But my LARGEST inground plant by far (White Widow), has yet to show sex. If this one is a female,
it should put out some serious bud in the next 8 weeks.
I would give them some bloom. Even if it rains... Nitrogen will make the plant put more energy into leaves instead of buds. And the more leaf in the bud the more it distorts the taste. Its not a big deal really I was just throwin it out that as a recommendation. That compost was probably mostly nitrogen if it was just yardwaste... If you really wanna see some big tasty buds then get some bone meal or bat guano to top feed them with.. That way rain won't wash it away as easy as liquid nutes.Quote:

Thanks for the tips!
But just to clarify, the mulch was just about 100% leaves from the compost pile. Dead leaves don't contain adequate Nitrogen, that's why it's recommended to add nitrogen to to your leaf compost. If the leaves were green and living, that would be a different story.
I hadn't hit them hard with flower nutes cause most of the White Widow plants have just started to flower now. Even though I say I didn't hit them hard with flower nutes yet, I did give them the max feeding suggested on the bottle (1/2 cup of big bloom) per gallon of water. I still have 8 weeks of flowering for most of the plants. Can't wait till the earlier plants are done!
Is this what you're talking about? :D
Oak Leaves N= 0.8 P= 0.35 K= 0.15 ... Leaves are mostly nitrogen and they breakdown real slow... be sure to flush out ur plants two weeks before harvest time so it will burn and taste right. You add nitrogen to ur compost pile cause it speeds the decomposition process up and feeds the little microbes that break the shit down.Quote:

I'm not against using bone meal. Actually, I added bone meal and big bloom today. :D
Bone Meal (steamed) N= 1 P= 11 K= 0 I'm not saying you were wrong to use the leaves. I 'm just sayin you might need some more P and K. They looked a bit leafy but thats probably genetic. How well do you trim your buds? You got 9 plants? Thats gonna be several hours of trimming. I'll have the bubblebag next harvest so I'll have alittle extra motivatation. If you don't have one you should check them out they are cool... ubble hash melts when you smoke it... yum...
No sweat! Just wanted to clear that up. ;)
I know I have been all over the place with the amount of plants and strains I have going, but I have 9 potted White Widows (two of them being the micro plants) next to all the plants in the ground. I have more plants in the ground then in pots!
Another problem I have is that I didn't take into consideration where the sun would be later in the season. I was able to move my pots so they get more sun, but most of the plants in the ground are getting half day of shade. Next season I will improve this, you live and learn.
I never heard of the bubblebag, I will look into it!

I can't wait to get one... Have you tried cutting down what creates the shade? Or is that not possible.. Once i cut halfway through a tree that was blocking light.. And i basically prunned it it stop growing up and it shot branchs out from its base... Made the area perfect.
I had cut quite a bit early in the season which opened it up alot. Now, as per your reminder, I went out and cut a thick ass branch which should give a few more plants a couple of extra hours of sun.
This is an AWESOME tool, I HIGHLY recomment it to anyone who does some pruning. I ordered it through my local hardware store! ;)
The center pic is Misty!
ALL 9 of my potted White Widows started from seed turned out FEMALE! :D
I have a few WW's in the ground that have yet to show sex, but all the in ground WW's that have showed sex are all FEMALE as well! :D
I was at my grow location this morning looking at my girlz and I hear hear a voice, "hey, what you growin there?". I answered him, "I'm growing all kinds of stuff". Then I asked him, "do you see what I'm growing"? And he said, "NO, I just see your body over there". Then he said "I'll come around and meet you". I left the spot and chatted with him for about an hour. Since he didn't see what I was growing, I didn't tell him. He looked liked a stoner and so I wasn't about to start sharing all my bud with him. For security reasons, I can't tell you who he was or why he won't come back to my grow location and snatch my plants. It was a Close Call! :detective1:
Ouch. Was this out in the woods? I had a close call as well today
TGR,
I don't really want to give hints about my grow location. In my case, I don't think it was about getting busted but more about someone else knowing about them. Do you mind sharing what happened to you? ;)
I can't believe that my largest White Widow hasn't showed sex yet. I wonder if I can cut and root the branches? The plant is about 2ft tall and then opens up like a V with two main branches with alot of small shoots (1-4") growing upwards. I was thinking of cutting off both branches and trying to root them. I have never cloned, so I don't know if this is a good idea? The branches are about as thick as a marker, and over 2ft in length each. It looks like it's gonna start flowering any day now, but I'm afraid that I will run out of time to let them mature. I'm thinking that if I can root the branches I can let them flower inside as long as I want and get some good bud. But then on the other hand, I don't feel like messing with them and I just take what they give me. Just thinking out loud. What do you think? :wtf:
clones ae much harder in the adult stage, but they can be done.
Is ur largest in the ground? if not then just take it indoors to mature when the first frost hits. If it is, you could probably transplant to a large pot and do the same. General idea is take it indoors to mature and you'll have less to worry about.
Either way, it shouldnt pose a major problem :)
Note: If you can accomodate it, transplanting the whole plant is preferable to cloning two branches. The trauma of cloning may turn it into a male or worse, a hermi.
Pass that shit...I was considering growing some Early Misty's but dunno bout the height. I found a few sites that say 20-28 inches, what did yours get to? I'm trying to do a semi-stealth grow but not wasting my time on LR's.
Dont mean to hijack but thought I would awnser the above question. I am also growing early misty.
The nirvana description says it is short and finishes in August. It is complete BS. It is my tallest fastest growing baby anything but short. It even looks more sativaish.
On another note it is my favorite plant for a couple reasons.
1) It was the first to flower
2)It is COVERED in trichomes
3) Smells much better than my other strains.
Im really looking forward to it.
Pass that shit..when are you expecting to harvest?
Im thinking mine should be done in 2- 3 weeks max.
i really dont know but i dont think you can clone a "branch" those are pretty thick. try some of the smaller stems from the top. might be able to get them mature but i really dont know.
