have you heard anything from your ex roommate? That's amazing that it happened. I too was suspicious that heat was on the grow and that's why he left, but now I'm just thinking he's crazy for leaving his plants behind, lol. Or maybe that was his compensation to you, for not paying the rent. Maybe he knew you'd find them and enjoy them, lol.

i haven't heard from him, but i've been hearing things and from what i gather it was a finance issue. he was supposedly down to his last few dollars and found some work out of state for a few months (roofing). he was also going through shit with a chick that i know was getting him real down. all he had to do was level with me and i would have worked something out with him. anyway, i'm thinking that at some point he'll resurface wanting to talk. as for the "vegetation"... he knows i'm a nut and probably knew i'd take to these things as if they were my own. i mean i used to smoke with the guy just about everyday, i dunno... the whole things bums me out, but the plants are a nice distraction. ;)Quote:

It helps keep the flavor sweet, and not harsh, and helps increase bud size.
Add 1 tablespoon per gallon, and water as usual.

thanks... i think i have the drying and curing down. the grow cabinet will be good for drying, with the mini dehumidifier in there it's the most controlled environment i have. as for curing, i'll just pick up a few jars.Quote:

thx... after this i'm curious to see if i can start a grow on my own and see it through to completion. acquiring this one at the stage it was at took a ton of work out of the project. granted i can still mess it up before it's "done", but i'm fairly confidant i'll be able to dry and cure it ok. after this is complete i'm going to try my hand at growing the clones and at the same time try some supposedly expensive seeds i was given in a speaker cabinet or plastic storage box (those grows intrigue me the most on here). :hippy:Quote:

How To Microwave Steam Dry Marijuana
What you will need to start:
* Tupperware container with a lid (that fits)
* 3 Paper Towels
* Fresh Buds (cut into small chunks)
* Water (h20)
* A Microwave
Cut a 1/4 piece of paper towel and put it in the bottom of the tupperware container. Next put in all your cut-up weed pieces. Now fold the other 2 paper towels and dip them in water, making sure they are evenly wet. Now squeeze out most of the water, then unfold the damp towels and place on top of the container. Now place the lid on top and press down all corners except for one, so the steam can escape.
Now place the container in the microwave. Set on medium for 1 minute and let it go. Take it out when the minute is up and let it sit for around 20 seconds. If the bottom paper towel is a bit "wet", change it right away. Also check the 2 "top" paper towels, if they are a little dry get them wet again and put the lid back on and repeat the process.
Repeat this process a few times or until it's dry enough to smoke! :rastasmoke:
MrB - You should do some reading on trichomes and when to harvest. There's different highs for different stages of trichome developement.
Also, do some research on making hash. All of those leaves you trim that have trichomes on them can be used to make hash. :thumbsup:

Mr. Bungle for some reason i feel like this has been your grow all along. You know and awful lot about marijuana. I really dont think a complete new jack would know who Jorge Cervantes is and i think its a bit odd of you to know how to clone being a beginner.

so, i was planning on harvesting this weekend. i gave them a final watering earlier this week and then yesterday from out of nowhere i decided to go another week or two, so i watered them again (they were soooooo dry). anyway, i opened the cabinet today and all of a sudden a bunch of leaves were all yellow! at first i almost shit myself, but i just read that it's somewhat normal during the final stages from lack of nitrogen, so i'm not going to make any changes, but it sure did suck the life out of me upon initially seeing them this way!
btw: here are the clones and one random seed i germinated to see if could bing it to life (the one in the small pot).
oh yeah, i also took all of the fan leaves i cut a couple of weeks ago and made some hash out of them. they didn't yield very much, but there was enough to get 4 or 5 good pulls. :jointsmile:
dude, killer job. I've followed this thread for long enough to decide I need an ikea wardrobe too! I actually think I got the exact same one (i think its called the aneboda) and plan on building the same carbon filter you added and installed to the cabinet.
how do you have the filter attatched? does the opening fit into the hole you cut? or connect with some kind of air duct? and is that a dehumidifier down inbetween the plants?
You need to get those two clones into seperate pots ASAP. You'll be amazed how quickly their roots grow and you don't want them to get tangled.
I see you learned about hash making real quick. What did you use - a silk screen?
