I hate fast food, but i still eat it, and wendys and BK are where its at. Im on the east coast so we dont get this, but carls jr is pretty bomb too with a fat 6 dollar burger...
EDIT: Oh yeah forgot to say, best fries is definitely Great Steak & Potato company, or on the boardwalk in jersey.
McDonalds is leading 2 to 1,,, you my friend are part of a minority... Fries on the boardwalk are always better...Quote:

McDonald's is a joke when it comes to fries, despite its showing here.
I agree that Belgian fries are unsurpassed, Lip! The Belgians use the twice-frying method to do their fries, too. I asked questions about their technique the last time we were there and watched their process in a fry shop. Unlike our tendency to leave the skin on, they generally peel their potatoes first, and they use a type of European-grown potato called a Bintje, which we can't usually find in the states. I expect they're sold in England. They also employ oil for frying that has some quotient of animal fat in it--usually duck fat. A ratio of two-thirds vegetable/canola/peanut oil to one third duck fat is the ideal, the fry-shop-owner said. They do taste uniquely wonderful. And they serve them with those wonderful sauces instead of ketchup. This whole subject makes me want to catch the next flight to Brussels.
Yea, Checkers (They're called Rally's round here in Cinci) are hands-down the best.
Hey I just looked it up they are called Checkers and Rallys,,,weird...Quote:

The best fries are from Arbys. That right Arby's curly fries plus bronco berry sauce = heavan
i've been a fan of mcdonalds fries for awhile.
IAP order them without salt then! I find Wendy's fries go bad within 2 minutes and become sticks of soggy starch and grease. I want to know if that rumor was true about mickie d fries, that when they make them before sending them to the restaurants, they soak them in beef broth. I think it is that superfine salt they use that makes them so good.Quote:

I don't know if you can say overall Subway is the healthiest or not. Wendy's has several salads that if you don't use the dressing can be healthy as well as gettting a baked potato instead of fries. But then there are things that are gut busters at Wendy's too. When Subway makes their health claim that is like the lean meat subs with nothing on them that has more than 5 calories. No mayo, oil or cheese. Those "healthy" subs can quickly become fattening with the choices you make. But Subway is up there on the list of healthier choices. McDonalds is making a move towards healthier food, especially by offering fresh fruit choices with the kids meals. Out of those places with a deep fryer Wendy's is up there on the healthier list.
Whoa,,,BK is kechingup,,,LoLzzz...
Burger king without a doubt
La Pomme Fruits or however its spelled is the best place in the world for fries. its in the village right off st marks in nyc. you get the fries in a paper cone with whateva sauce you want on top. A little expensive but deffinatley worth it if your in the city.
That is sorta boardwalk style,,,sounds good...Quote:

One of my first jobs was working closing hours at McD's....anything that was left over at closing time you could eat or take home. We used to make up bunches of triple and quadruple big macs ad qp's and a couple buckets of fries at about 10:55 and then go nuts after closing.
I love their fries but to this day I want to go into the back and cook my own burgers...:D
Yea their fries are porbably the best. It's Pomme frites by the way.Quote:

The best fries I've ever eaten were from an A&W somewhere in Wisconsin.
Otherwise I love Arby's curly fries, and the fries they have at applebees.
P.S., Burger King's fries kick McDonalds' fries little soggy asses, hands down.
i don't have most of these in my area so i'm going to go with arby's curly fries
