Where's the art people?! Come on post!
I'm more into photography now, but I still sometimes get inspired to draw.
The first one is one of those cool abstract pieces that I love to do while I'm high. I spend a few minutes staring at the picture trying to figure out exactly where and how to draw each line.
The second one was commissioned by my roommate. He wanted a picture of a turtle nailing a rabbit, and the rabbit was not supposed to be enjoying it. I don't normally like doing commissions, but this one was a lot of fun.
Photo taken with my cell phone, near my house, cape town south africa.
Edited in photoshop.

Please let me know what you think. Thanks:jointsmile:
I think it looks a bit like an Austin-Healy c. 1960 but unhappy. And made entirely of polished scissors-hash. Yet I find it strangely satisfying to look at.
Hey that looks like me when im high...LOLQuote:

more on my DA, I'm sort of just starting out with art.
the quote is actually 2 slightly altered quotes for the right length :)
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it. Believe nothing no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your reason. -Buddha
Great quote from the Buddah, Egg. All you guys have inspired me now i need to get back into my art, i havent done much since i left school. I'm at work right now but ill post some soon and good work everyone. I love the variety, everything from straight photography to pen and ink. :D
the rainbows are just a couple pieces i did cuz i was hella bored.
Anatomy of Acid is the microscopic view of acid... while on acid. (note, i mentioned that only because of the art, please dont censor art)
Lava lamp conspiracy is aptly named. it is multiple lava lamp colors conspiring against each other, in a reverse lava lamp environment, where the bubbles are clear and the water is lava.
and last, but most certainly not least, my pride and joy, Tripidelica.
This is the mind storm of infinity, as seen from inside nothingness.
This one i like best out of them all because it is dark, but there is so much color, even in the darkest corners of the picture.
and a final note, all of these are 1600x1200 in their originals, so they actually look a lot better than what is seen here.
Feedback and comments are awesome. :hippy:
i couldnt edit this into my post:
I dont have the originals anymore :( i dont know where they are.... they still exist SOMEwhere... but i dont have a clue where. *sigh*
i am awestruck, simply awestruck.
Whoever buys it doesnt deserve it! lol
That is one awesome sculpture! the greatest stainless steel art the world over.

A piece I recently done, it still needs more work but any feedback is appreciated.
Excellent.
If I may- the yellow segments are very symmetrical. On one hand, if they are seen as wing forms, that would make sense. On the other hand, if that was not the desired effect, perhaps changing the symmetry would give the piece a less formal look. However, they DO serve to focus the eye directly at the subject. What's the white thing? A door?
Anyway I continue to be very impressed by your bold and confident style, and use of solid blocks of color.
Really appreciate the comment. The two yellow shapes are supposed to mimic wings, I'm glad you noticed. The object behind her doesn't really signify anything, just something I made and dropped in to make her stand out. Thanks again :)Quote:
