Ive bought all sorts of pads and pantiliners and tampons for not only girlfriends, but female friends of mine as well. Shit, not only that, but I know what brand(Playtex gentleglide unscented is the most popular hands down in my experience), absorbancy, scented or non, etc., each girl needs for each stage of her period. Probably from all those long, mental munchie lists over the years... memory retention has improved with marijuana use!
Hell man, when my ex had surgery to remove the cyst's from her kidneys, the pain medicine had her completely useless.. I had to take her to the bathroom and everything, including change her tampons and pantiliners for her. Warnt nuttin butta thang. Its kinda funny that changing her own tampons grossed her out, and not me :p
Haha havent used condoms in like 4 years but I never had a problem buying them. In fact I used to love going to the counter with a box of condoms, a couple different types of lube, a case of water, some energy bars, and a beautiful girl. Then nonchallantly mention its gonna be a long night :p Haha Ive even had to get a couple of those items (namely the condoms and/or lube) while I was going to the store with one of my dude friends, that was even funnier. And if I got wierd looks, I would play into it to fuck with the clerk lmao. I cant understand why so many people give such a shit about what others think. The only people whose opinions matter to me are my close friends and family. And my friends that are that close ARE family to me.
And to address Breukelan Advocaat's accusatory inquisition, Im 22 and have had a job on the books since I was 12, and have been either in school or working or both since then. And yeah that first job was definitely a paper route.
i like to go into sex shops... BUT i dont like to go into those sex shops where the nasty old man is working and staring at you every were you go HOW CREEPY IS THAT?? OMg i just leave..
IF you are bleeding heavily maybe you want to try both wearing tampons and pads. Id rather be safe then sorry.. I dont bleed very heavy, but i have had my times that freaked me out and i thought i was going to die because their was so much blood lmao.. that sounded so sick i will stop now before i go more into detail hahah lmao
This is the womens forum, shorty... if any of the dudes that peruse it are too immature to handle natural reality, then let them display their ignorance and hopefully be subsequently banned.Quote:

I just remembered a funny story.
On my birthday last year, we wanted balloons..BAD, but by time the party started it was like 10 or something, and no party stores were open..SO..we decided to hit up the grocery store for some condoms to blow up. Me and two of my guy friends decided to get the big box of all colours, shapes, sizes, scents, ect. Lol, the fun pack basically. At the register I got the WEIRDEST look from the dude, lemme mention I was also carrying a wand and had pink hair. The guys were pretty much humiliated, and just to fuck with them and the cashier I grabbed both of em by the hand as we walked out and laugh saying "tonight WILL be fun!"
YES THAT IS AWESOME !!! I bet they thought you were about to start a huge orgy filled with roll playing.. awesome.. i love to mislead people in those kind of ways.. just makes their day sometimes like when they get home, honey you cant believe what happen to me today lol....Quote:

but yeah, my dad has the same problem and won't buy pads or tampons for my mom, and wouldn't for me when i lived at home. it really pissed me off, but he just says that it makes him super embarrassed. oh well. now i live by myself, so i just have to go and get my pads or tampons myself. but if i needed him too, my boyfriend would get them for me. :)
Well i'm pretty young to be married so i don't know how valid my opinion is but i would totally go get my girlfriend tampons if she really needed them, people are obviously not going to think there for me.
Would he rather be buying Huggies? Cause that's what you buy if you're not buying pads or tampons or on menopause.

I'd get them for my girlfriend if she needed me too, it's never come up tho.
I love walking up to the counter with a big box of condoms and some lube, I've never seen what was wrong with some person you don't know behind the counter knowing your getting laid? Who cares?
The funniest was when I went to the store with a buddy of mine and I was buying condoms, lube, and chocolate sauce, the kind you make chocolate milk with, and the guy behind the counter was giving us a really weird look and it was really obvious that he thought we were going home to put chocolate sauce on each other and fuck each others asses out and my friend was so embarrassed, so I decided to make it worse so I looked back at him and winked as the guy was staring at us. I died laughing when I got out of the store.
Needless to say my friend was not impressed.

Let's face it this is just another thread to whinge about men. There are much more important issues out there other than "why he won't buy me tampons". It doesn't make you a better person if you can walk into a shop and buy them. I'd love to see all these women buy a porn magazine in pure confidence. I know my girlfriend DEFINATLY wouldn't, she wouldn't be able to live with the shame.., Maybe I should start a thread on this.
ill go to the store and buy tampons... i dont have problems with it... its just umm for my girl... i would rather go to the store and buy a box of tampons then have blood(i know its not really blood but i dont know the technical term for it) all over the house....

The guy should have sucked it up, but I can completely understand where he's coming from....
Just the thought of those and what they are for gets my stomache in a knot. I'm sorry, but the idea of blood pouring out is absolutely, undeniable, disgusting.
And yeah, yeah, it's natural, but so's shit and vomit.
Yeah thats weird that he did not want to get them. And for the one guy that would no get the lube.... wtf is that? I dont see how he is embarrased about lube, hell that only means your getting it enough to need it! thats a good thing! right? And just a comment,... rebgirl420, you are FINE!!! And thats just a compliment, i see in your sig you have a man, so not trying to stir up any shit. Just thought I would throw it out there, your a damn good looken woman, and your man is a lucky one!!! Hard to find hot stoner chicks, even harder to get one that is cool with growing. laterz..
picilo
I'll throw my two cents in... I don't care what it is..tampons, massengil, lingerie, whatever, I'll buy it for my girl. I LOVE anything to do with the female body--maybe I'm just a freak.
I went to J.C. Penny's once to shop for bras for my girl. You talk about attention....I think a couple of sales girls went weak right there--lol. One of them even said "wow, she's a lucky girl"! a ;) is what I gave her--he he he.
I disagree with both your posts. This thread is not generalizing men. The title is why do so many men have this problem. Not why do all men have this problem. There are a lot of men who have a problem with being seen buying tampons.Quote:

Talk about someone whining you need to re read your posts.
haha I buy porn also... NO SHAME here...
You are new here so Ill be nice. Which is kind of hard for me when coming up against ignorance as some of the members here can attest to..Quote:

If you have such a problem with it I would suggest STAYING THE FUCK OUT OF THE TOPIC. As opposed to posting rude and detractory comments to an established and well liked member of this site.
If you havent started a topic complaining about how your girlfriend wont buy you porn, go for it. Thats the beauty of an internet forum. By the way, my ex girlfriends would all buy porn AND sex toys. Realize that this is an international site, and just because you and your friends that live in a small demographic area of a relatively small Island nation have a certain opinion about certain things... that doesnt mean that the rest of the world shares your opinion. Judging by the fact that there are now 3 pages of people, many of them supporting the OP, I would say you are the minority here.
Dont get mad just because you arent man enough to buy feminine hygiene products without feeling insecure about your masculenity. And your girlfriend couldnt bear the SHAME of buying porn? Thats shameful? Oh yeah.. I guess in your area it must be, well if thats the case I feel sorry for you :(
Guess I'm lucky in that department. I take my pills 28 days straight for 11 months and only have one period a year. I'm usually ready for it. I did have a bf a couple years ago who got these awful nose bleeds, and used tampons to stop the bleeding. That was a hoot...the string hanging our of his nose.

This thread is listed in the "Women's Issues" sub-forum. Now just in case the logic of this fact escapes you, I shall assert that it is for women. Men are discouraged from posting in here, because the women enjoy having their own place free from the judging and scolding remarks of men who feel the need to stamp their ignorance upon everything they read. The more open-minded and less judgemental men are tolerated in our posts in the womens forum, provided we dont post anything offensive. I have a feeling there are some people who found your posts offensive. Why? Because you came into the (once again) WOMEN'S FORUM, into a topic a female member created out of a frustration she is experiencing in her personal life, and told her to STOP WHINING. Then proceeded to rant and complain about the fact that you thought she was whining. Followed by an attempt at a tongue-in-cheek comment about something you found unsatisfying in your own girlfriend.
Is any of this impacting you at all? No? It escapes you completely? Hmm.. I was afraid of that... On to the second part then..
Your post proved nothing, and was a poor attempt at justification. If your part of Europe is so liberal, then why is it so hard for you to buy a hygiene product? Are you afraid? Does it hurt your feelings? Does it make you feel "icky?" What other explanation can you give for the fact that you are unable and unwilling to purchase cotton, packaged in plastic, boxed in cardboard? Yes, I will say it again. Any man that has a problem buying tampons suffers from either: immasculinity, immaturity, or ignorance. And usually its an unhealthy mix of all three. Take your pick. Or entertain us by giving your own reasoning... Im sure its completely valid... Oh and.. the fact that your comment was towards a well-liked, longstanding group member had nothing to do with hierarchy, but more along the lines of.. we like her alot fucking better than we like you, so good luck finding the majority of people siding with you. Go ahead and be rude to whomever you choose, the results will be worth it.
Please... feel NO need to go easy on me, Im a big boy I can take it. Nothing you say to me over the internet or in person could possibly offend me, as I dont have enough respect for you or your opinion to have any sort of feasible affect. But please, by all means, explain to me how I am wrong, because I thoroughly enjoy having my eyes opened towards something I was previously ignorant about........
See to me every guy getting tampons should be happy as hell no proud of the fact. Not only does it show one's maturity in a time of need it shows the world my GF's not pregnant. Hmm would any man truly opt out tampons for diapers? If guys look at it like that then I think we'd see the error in our ways and sprint to the store to get "cotton and A damn string."
My dad hates getting pads or tampons for my mom or my sister. I think he never even really got the picture as far as their existence until he was already a grown man. But likewise if he were to ask my mom to get a new oil filter for the car she would think WTF am I doing here at AutoZone??? and she would probably not get them or else get the wrong one and then yell and scream about how it's his thing to do that and he should have gotten the filter. In other words, there was a certain time when the two genders NEVER EVER crossed into or even knew ANYTHING about the world of the other gender, and I think it only shows that his parents have kept those traditions more strongly when they raised him, therefore he's embarrassed. Almost like how I was watching some black comedian talking about how white people always just use the bar of soap directly on the skin while bathing, and it was so disgusting that everyone has the same bar of soap in their asscrack. Well, to me it's not a big deal because A: It's SOAP. How can you get it dirty? B: You rinse it in fresh water when you're done, so it's as clean as anything else that's been washed in soap and water. But to that comedian it was disgusting. Does that mean he's insecure about his butt cleanliness? I really doubt it.
MY POINT OF VIEW ON THIS IS SIMPLE.......
when i was only going out with joanne a few months she asked me to go to the shop to get her some,,i did not hesitate,,she needed them, and i,m her guy,,,why the hell would i not do it for the one i love..several years ago when on holidays on portugal,,jo devoleped thrush, and i went to the chemist to get some cream for her,,now not being able to speak the language,i drew diagrams, pointed,at womens products and eventually they understood, what i needed, and gave it to me,,still scratching there heads as to why a man needed this cream,i left and got it to my lady asap...
thats just what you do when your partner needs a helping hand...its also called caring..
jo still gets a laugh at the thought of me doing charades to the mistifed chemist..:) :hippy:
Try being raised by all women, you'll learn a lot about tampons and believe me I have made plenty of trips for them. Its no big deal just a part of life.
