Growing In Cabinets (CFL Grow-cab)
Now it's time to make a dryer because my first harvest time is coming.. in 2 ~ 3 weeks..
First, I have to figure out the best time to harvest..
I am not sure this dryer will serve its purpose or not but I had fun making it.
- Supplies
1 x Sterlite 18 gallon tub container ($4 from Walmart)
1 x 92mm PC fan (I always use Antec brand, $7 from PC store)
1 x AC/DC Universal power adapter ($8 from PC store)
1 x Air conditioner Filter ($3 from Home Depot)
1 x 3" Cap ($2 from Home Depot)
1 x (10" x 20", not sure about the size) length of Heavy duty chicken wire
2 x 4" screw fasteners ($2 from Walmart) or tie

When all buds are dried, I will keep them in a jar and cured them.
And about that water purifier thing..
When I get a gallon of filtered tab water, I add PH minus, add fertilizers and sit it for a day. I don't see the big difference but I think this helps a lot because my tab water is kinda dirty.
I thought about having a RO system before but I guess I just go with this PUR purifier thing from now on. It says I can get 100 gallons out of one filter..
But these filters are little bit expensive..

>> Flowering with only 6 x 42w CFL light bulbs. <<
I took these pictures a couple of days ago..
This NL plant(NL#1) is about 3.5' and it is not getting taller.. Thank god!
I put this plants in my flowering cabinet on march 15th and NL plants are very forgiving and growing really fast..
I didn't show my 4' plant(NL#2) yet because It's a little bit retarded.. I made her like that and I feel so ashamed.. Don't ask why..
NL#2 is doing well and it would take a week or 2 weeks more to harvest..
I'll take pictures of NL#2 when I feel ok..
Growing In Cabinets (CFL Grow-cab)
This is NL#1.. I know some people might say what the heck is "NL#1"? You can do better than that.. It's not a pretty name for a girl.. It just happened to be the first thing that came through my head. That's all! Even my TV has name. It's "TV#1". My Humidifiers are "HM#1 and HM#2"..
Ok.. I stop with this nonsense..
It's been 6 weeks.. and no more fertilizers from now..
Only PH'ed water..
No superthirve either.

18toki:
I've got a ***VERY*** similar setup. Before I found this site (through a personal friend who is quite active on here), I was just kind of "ad-libbing" my way through it all. Your descriptions and pictures are excellent! It is wonderful to someone doing pretty much the same thing I'm doing, with the same equipment I've got, and from the same place(s) I purchased stuff from. The one thing I've done a bit different is my CO2 system.
I've got a 2-liter soda bottle that I've throughly cleaned out, added sugar, water and yeast. Drilled a little hole in the lid, and put in some of that standard aquarium tubing. Poked little holes through the tubing running along the 'roof' of my cabinets, and the end is at the back of one of the PC fans I've got for blowing into the cabinet.
My goal is to keep power consumption to an absolute minimum. Sometime next week, I'm going to whip up a few solar chargers and wind powered generators (mounted outside, with power running inside -- I've also got other equipment where this will be used) and some heavy-duty rechargables. Charge batteries, run at least the fans (from an old 45watt PC power supply).
When I get my camera batter charged (VERY old digital, VERY old battery, hacked together charging circuit) I'll snap some photos of my cabinets.
Again, thank you for your pictures and descriptions. You say English isn't your native tongue -- I understood EVERY word. You seem to have a better grasp on the English language than most Americans. Good job!!

xanlexian: Nice to see you!
I also tried.. I mean "TRIED".. CO2 fermentation method and it seems to me that..
after reading a lot of stuff, Injecting right amount was kinda of issue so I decided not to do it and I also thought about buying a Co2 tank and regulator and stuff but I thought it would be out of my league since I am only using CFLs.
JUST fresh air is OK I guess..
.. and also.. HPS and.. hydroponic system.. I think I never gonna try that.
I am not even a heavy smoker.
If you put your pics up, let me know~ I am spending most of my time reading other's grow log.

This is my kitty litter Air Scrubber(*Check DIY Air scrubber) attached to my flowering grow cab.
It's a heavy-duty 120mm fan(120v,275cfm) that I bought on ebay for $20(includes shipping & handling)
I modified little so that I can attach a 4" dryer vent.
There is a 100cfm 120mm Antec PC fan and it's part of my 2-fan exhaust system for flowering grow cab.

My air intake system provides fresh air for 24 hours..
Yesterday was hot.. Really hot.. Outside temp went up to 80°F and average temp was 68°F during day time. Temp inside my grow cab went above 90°F..
I attached the intake part to my air conditioner and had turned it on to keep temperature low (Average 70°F ~ 72°F) for all day..
Growing In Cabinets (CFL Grow-cab)
This is my NL#2. Leaves are dark green and looks very healthy.
NL#2 is 4' tall and has less bud sites than NL#1 and It's ok..
Just grow healthy until harvest.
Growing In Cabinets (CFL Grow-cab)
I have two tobacco plants growing in my grow cab.
Pic #1: I think they were 12 days old.. These tiny seedling had been in the propagation dome for more than 10 days. They grew slow.
Pic #2: about a week later
Pic #3: 15 days ago.
Pic #4 & #5: Today.
I think I need to transplant them..
Growing In Cabinets (CFL Grow-cab)
Too much coffee and beverages.. I can not sleep.. :wtf:
3 days later, it will be 7 weeks into flowering so I have to make sure not to screw up on this.
I changed my tap water Ph level to 6.5 a week ago and fed with full strength ferts twice a week..
this is not good.. 6.5 or 7.0.. I am confused.. :what:
Once a week is enough... I gotta write it down..
It looks like nutrients deficiency and my NL#2 has some nute burns...
I don't like it.. Don't like it at all...
I wasn't gonna flush but now I had to.. so I flushed.. NL#1..
* I bought a MG plant food and this water-soluble product is bloody red..
and I will only feed pepper plant with this. Not on my precious~
My babies in veg grow cab are doing ok.. Doing ok! (I'm talking to myself)
Not really.. They grew(stretched) too big.. I guess they were like over 22" tall couple of days ago.
Top fan leaves were touching CFLs and got burned..
I still have all my 6 plants and all I can do was to top/prune them.
Sometimes I say things that I don't really mean. I could not kill any of them..
Still my grow cab is small for all 6 plants and don't know what to do..
In a week, 2 plants will be transported to my flowering grow cab..
I'll upload pics tomorrow.

There are many threads on "How to clone". I almost read most of them and
hydro or soil, it's pretty much same..
For soil grow, I prefer peat pellets, Rapid rooters but you can just use flushed soil with perlite.
I'd use distilled water or purified water for better result.
Olivia cloning gel is also a good product to use.
Spray distilled water 2 times a day so that you can keep high humidity environment.
You do this for 10 days and check for root development.
There were 8 cutting but I threw away 2 because they were small and grew slow.
When I saw root sticking out, I transplanted them in a 18oz cup and put them in my veg grow cab
and I don't put them too close to the light because they are fragile.
That' how I got my 6 clones in my veg grow cab.
Growing In Cabinets (CFL Grow-cab)
Pic #1: C-NL#1. This one is in my 3rd veg grow room and I am going to put this girl in my flowering grow cab after the harvest
Pic #3: C-NL#2. I am keeping this one too and this will be in my flowering grow cab, too.
These clones were in this veg grow cab for more than 7 weeks and I will keep them compact so I can have more cuttings.
But it's kind of hard.. I have to water them everyday in the morning. When it's hotter, they go droopy in the morning. More topping and pruning is required to keep them small. They're just waiting for their time...
Growing In Cabinets (CFL Grow-cab)
I am pretty much done showing off my stuff.
My plants are doing very well. I am nearly at the final stage and I have to decide whether I'm gonna harvest on 7 weeks or 8 weeks. It'll be this friday or next friday..
Many people would give one more week so I would give one more week probably.
I didn't have much sleep last night. I was searching for informations on flushing, drying and curing method. Now I know what to do..
You know this is my first harvest.. so I spent some time looking at my buds, checked trichomes(clear and cloudy) and pussy hair. It's just so amazing to me..
Flushing: I've flushed my plant with ph'ed water and run-off water was little bit yellowish but I guess it's ok.. I only used 5-gallon on 3-gallon pot.. I should have used 10-gallon but I didn't have enough water..
Drying: I'll hang buds in my dryer for 3 ~ 5 days.. and I will keep them in paper bags for 3 days..
Curing: I'll cure buds in a jar..
There will be no "BIG" updates from now. As I said in the beginning, I'll harvest one plant every 4 weeks. Everything goes as I planed, I'll show my harvest pictures.
Thank you all nice people sharing informations and knowledges.
I thank some people sent me emails and email me if you have anything to say to me~
Logging off for now, I have a business to take care of..
PEACE~

Hey, 18toki. Well, I dig your log, man. Five stars. Good pictures, and good informed decision making. Looks like your first grow is going well and you're doing everything right. Your clones look nice. Maybe let us know what your survival rate of them are (I'm expecting 100%) :).
Looking forward to seeing the harvest pics! :D I think it's about time for me to start a new log, now! ;)
Be cool. RastafarI.

Thanks for your comment, TGF.
I look forward to see your next grow and I am curently watching invision's grow..
my grow log is not organized and kind of mixed up.. I give only one star..
I don't have any cuttings right now. They all grew up and they are in my veg grow cab. I took those pictures of cuttings 6 weeks ago.
Anyway, The peat pellet cloning method was successful and all cuttings survived.
Many people say peat pellet is not good for cloning. What I can say is.. It's little bit tricky.
For my experiment, I had a little tiny cutting(2 inches), It also survived but It was just for fun so I threw it away. Right in the garbage can..
So I have 8 females right now. 2 in flowering cab and 6 in veg cab.
Even though I don't say, I keep watching your grow log. Keep it up, Fog!
Growing In Cabinets (CFL Grow-cab)
Hey, man. Well, yea I hear you about the peat pellets. IMO, one by one rockwool cubes are the best for cloning. IMO, of course. Just because they are more predictable than a peat pellet. This is my view on hydro vs. soil overall, so there's lots to be said. LOL
Anyway, glad you kept what you needed to and got rid of what you didn't. It's hard to get rid of plants sometimes, especially new little clones, when you know they are female, huh? That's what I 'hear' at least. :D
So, yea, I would have to assume that at least some people are looking at my logs, even if I don't get very many posts, but the view count shows me, I guess. I'll be watching invision's grow as well. I'm really looking forward to several people's harvest at this time, like Markass's, Shovelhandle's and Bree's. I love watching people's grows, but they go too slowly for me. LOL, I wish I could fast forward sometimes. Haha.

I am so happy that I finally finished my first grow!
I took a lot of pictures but I lost all my pictures that I took for a week.. My digital camera is pretty old.. I think I have to get a new smart card or something..
I harvested and trimmed.. then I hung buds in my "Budz Dryer". I'll dry them for a week or two.. I don't know yet.. If my dryer works good, It might take about a week.. and I bought 12 mason jars from Walmart for $8..
Anyway, I am BLOODY ready for my second grow.. I disinfected the cabinet by spraying bleach-water around and cleaned.. then I transplanted C-NL#1 and C-NL#2 in 3-gallon pot and placed them in my flowering cabinet.
I wasn't gonna put both of them together at the same time but I had no choice.. C-NL#2 is in pre-flowering stage right now and I think this C-NL#2 is gonna finish earlier..
[attachment=o135550]
I took 4 cuttings from CLONE MOM a week ago and they look good so far. I will check roots development 3 days later and transplant them.. I'll put them in my veg grow cab.. I only want two.. I'll get lid of week ones..
[attachment=o135551]
[attachment=o135552]
NL#1: 5.6 oz = 158 grams
NL#2: 5.7oz = 161 grams
So.. it will be little over 2oz when buds are dried well..
[attachment=o135553]
This is a Clone MOM.. If my cuttings don't survive, I'll have more cuttings..
[attachment=o135554]
C-NL#1 and C-NL#2 are in my flowering grew cab.. I'll have my second harvest 8 weeks later!
