For you folks over the pond, this is an example of an actual good, damn good, American ale. Anderson Valley makes an incredible oatmeal stout. It's nice thick and black. Soo good. It's not all Coors Light :S2: over here. Red Seal Ale is another good one too.Quote:

If I'm on a budget though and gotta buy cheap beer, nothing beats Pabst Blue Ribbon.

You're up in Oregon right? Do you guys ever get beer festivals up there? If you ever get the chance check one out. There's typically anywhere between 15-30 micro-breweries that show up, you usually pay something like $15 and you get a little glass(would hold about 1/2 bottle max) and a bunch of tasting tickets. The people pouring the beer are usually straight from the breweries and although they're only supposed to give you a little "taste" for each ticket, they almost always fill up the glass. It an awesome way to try a bunch of incredible beers for not much $. Just watch out, it's real easy to try a dozen or more beers in a pretty short amount of time and can get really fucked up before you know it.Quote:

this great seasonal beer called Orange Blossom Cream ale. Its a real smooth beer with a hint of orange and honey. its delicious! a friend of mine bought a bottle in New York and liked it so much that he wrote to Buffalo Bill's Brewery asking where he could find more. lo and behold they sell it at Cheers down the street.
also, lately I have been drinking Woodchuck granny smith apple cider. thats good too.
