but really i do take car of him but my neighbors are just pricks
I believe you love and take care of your dog in general, but if he's getting out w/o you knowing then it is your responsibility to take care of that and fix however he is gettin out. Your dog shouldn't be off your property without you. I would be pissed if my daughter and I couldn't walk around in my neighborhood for fear there could be a loose pit free roaming. I know some nice Pits but I wouldn't take my chances w a random one, kwim?
And look at it like this- if your dog was out and hurt someone there's a good chance the law would have him put down and that's not fair to him when it coulda been prevented. How's he gettin out anyway? He a climber or a digger or got superman's flying skills or what?
O lord, I know I sound bitchy, don't take it like that. I just love animals almost as much as people. More than many people.
So was it a giant dog, or a giant bunny? Or were they both giant, kinda like Power Rangers?
And now I love you. :DQuote:

Hasenpfeffer (German Rabbit Stew) Recipe
Ingredients:
4 lb Rabbit
1 1/2 c Dry red wine
3/4 c Cider vinegar
2 ts Salt; optional
1/2 ts Freshly ground black pepper
1 Bay leaf
1/2 c Onions; chopped
1 tb Mixed pickling spice
1/2 c Flour
4 tb Butter
1 c Onions; thinly sliced
2 tb Sugar
1/2 c Sour cream
Directions:
Cut rabbit in serving-sized pieces. Wash, scrape, and soak in salted cold water for 1 hour. Drain and dry.
In a glass or pottery bowl mix together the wine, vinegar, salt, pepper, bay leaf, chopped onions, and pickling spice. Add the rabbit and let marinate in the refirgerator for 3 days. Turn the pieces occasinally. Drain the rabbit; strain and reserve the marinade. Dry the rabbit with paper towels and roll in flour.
Melt butter in a Dutch oven or deep heavy skillet; brown the rabbit and sliced onions in it. Pour off fat and add sugar and 1-1/2 cups marinade. Cover and cook over low heat 1-1/2 hours or until rabbit is tender. Turn the pieces occasionally and add more marinade if needed. Taste for seasoning. Mix the sour cream into the gravy just before serving.
untrue, my dogs were trained by my dad, im not afraid to say he beats them for messing up. they run out of the house while the door is open, i dont care if they wanted to, they shouldnt do it. so they get smacked.Quote:

you gotta dicipline your dogs, and if pain is the only form of teaching, so be it. out of fear comes loyalty.
you can say, i never beat my dogs, i never harm them in anyway... if you do, then your dogs own you, i can gaurantee they wont do jack shit you tell them unless you give them a bone for every command.
as of now, i havent had to lay a hand on my dogs since they were pups. they jsut know not to do stupid stuff like running after other animals and stuff unless im with them and they know its ok.

got carried away, basically i would do what everyone else said, it seems like theyre taking it pretty hard right now by not talking to you. just give it time, hopefully they arent assholes and.... i wont go there, best of luck to ya man.
dan i think you're wrong. but hey to each his own, if you want to beat your dogs, thats your choice.

h4h do you think spanking a child is wrong?
no i dont , but thats different, you can communicate with a child, you can actually say don't do this or else. with a dog you can't do that.
there are better ways to reprimand a dog than to hit it.
my pit is 5 years old he's gotten out probly 6 or 7 times in 5 years its not like he takes a daily stroll down the street wtf
G13 + this thread = LMAO!:smokin: :D
ive seen toddlers who own their parents, they can sit in a store and bawl there eyes out until they get what they want.
can you reason with that?
i see a difference of cummunication ill agree with you on that. im not saying i treat my dogs like a punching bag, im not some drunk who comes home and takes agression out on my dog. thats messed up.
like i said before i havent had to lay a hand on my dog for a very long time, they know what they can and cant do because i "spanked" them. same thing as a child. do something bad, punish them, they wont do it again.
my dogs are very loyal, i didnt get pleasure out of disciplining them, but im glad me and my dad did.
i see these obediance schools for dogs and stuff, its really not that difficult to get through to your dog. but hey to each his own, as you said. if your way works use it by all means.
much respect to you.

bottom line is, it's your dog and your responsibility as the owner to make sure he is confined to where he is supposed to be. I have two dogs and even though they won't hurt a soul and i'm damn honest about that, i still make it my duty as their owner to make sure the gate is locked and that there is no way they can get loose.
wel i guess im a horrible person

go over there, sit down, have a serious sincere talk and if theyre rational theyll understand. If not get yourself a lawyer and smuggle your dog out of the country

i agree with billion, ask them what you can do to make it right. maybe they don't want another rabbit o.0 maybe they'd get offended if you decided it was 'ok' to just replace the family pet with some random bunny after 'you killed it'... lol... maybe the father will be like "hey man, i just have to say thanks  i hated that fucking thing."
awww :(
I have 3 year old male chow chow.
when he phucks he knows it, gogs have an intelligence of a 5 year old child hence they sorta know right from wrong, you have to be the ALPHA or they will rule you and wont repect you. If that means kicking some k-9 ass when they get unrully and break house rules then so be it.
Usually he is very well behaved.
he knows whats allowed and whats not.
I'd go talk to them, apologize and ask them if they would accept another bunny.
I mean, what if you buy one and they dont want it for some reason..
Whats really 'embarrassing' is when someone like you separates a handicapped person from "other humans" as if they belong to some other group of non humanoids. Thumbs down for that shit bro.:sadcryingQuote:

Buy them a Porshe??? Please people it's a rabbit not their first born... talk to them if you havn't yet,,, most they could do is take you to small claims court and charge you for a rabbit I doubt they could get you for pain and suffering but,,, if they did it can't be much...
You should have made sure your gate was closed and they should have made sure there bunny was locked up or w/e. So it's both your faults. Just talk with them and I wouldn't offer a new bunny.
