Ok so where can i find out which ports need to be open cuz i didnt find it in my ps2 manual.
depends on the individual game, search for socom 2 or whatever game you wanna play and see what ports need to be opened
wow opening ports seems complicated i dont wanna mess my comp up either....like static ip adresses n stuff i didnt understand all that shit....would the ports for socom 2 b the same as socom 3?
only thing I could find online says that the ports are specific to each game. So I looked up socom2 for you and it says to open up ports 6000-6999 tcp and udp also make sure you have your ps2's ip address in the server ip address slot.(if it asks for one) but thats for to talk with the headset I also found the instruction book lol here's the link and read page 27 and 28 it tells you exactly what to do I bet you have to enter your dns ipaddy static ip of the ps2 and your routers netmask. so go to this link and look on page 27 and 28 if you need help finding your ipaddy and stuff go to start/run/cmd then type in "ipconfig"
sorry I can't be of much more help man heres that link
PlayStation.com - mozilla/4.0 (vbseo; http://www.vbseo.com)
start/run/cmd and ipconfig is from your comp not the ps2 sorry
i didnt know ps2's had their own ip adress wow i learn new shit from this board everyday lol
lol anything you hook up has its own macaddress and its own ip addy
peace man I'm goin ta bed.
