Which brings me to my next point. The placebo effect. Catnip could possibly get someone high if the smoker (case study) believes that what they are smoking is a substance that could in fact get them "stoned," or achieve the desirable effects from the placebo. If you do go through with it, then I think you should tell the person you are "experimenting" on and have it be a learning experience for the bunch of you. Granted he doesn't rip your heart out when he discovers down the line that you gave him catnip as weed. The humiliation could be too much to bear if he were in a depressive state. I think too much.

OK I just did some research and it's seams that some cats can get sezures from just plain old catnip... I could not find a link to cemically treated catnip...

I know organic is pretty big right now because of the cemicals because the pet store dude said peeps were asking questions and wanted organic...

ive done this twice actually. first time, this kid who was always an asshole, talked shit he couldnt back up, etc... so, he asked me for weed one day. i gave him a 20 bag of basil for $10. he smoked it out of my bowl, and said he was sssssooooooo high. the next day, i told him in front of about 10 people. needless to say, everyone at school called him basil for 2 months.
the second time, we were just messin with one of our friends. we smoked a catnip joint, told him, then we smoked him out for real.
