All I wanna do is go to the mountain!
I just got back from Utah on Tuesday it was sick. Real snow and powder. Ofcourse my Cartels broke the first day there, they have a life time warranty but no shop had them in stock and non do back in PA either. So I rented so cheapass bindings(the best most shops had for multiday rent)

i live in NY so i can't snowboard alot, but i do every season. I don't buy a board tho, too pricey. I just rent it for a season and i get what i need.

Snowboarding is badass. I snowboarded 4 years before I moved to FL. I learned to backflip the last year I snowboarded.
Moving to vermont sometime so I'll get to snowboard again, woo.
I miss the snow.

I am lucky to live a 30 minute drive from a mountain....so it's really easy for me to go boarding.
I plan on moving to Colorado though in 3 years with my boyfriend to Durango.....should be lots of boarding there.
.....and hell yeah the exercise gives you a great behind.;)

Bundle up and seal those holes because otherwise you'll be getting DAMN cold.
Like you collar, wrists, ankles and waist. Those are the places snow will get in and make you down right miserable. Use gloves that have Velcro straps to tighten, wear super long socks and get snow pants that tighten at the ankle and have a liner that you can tuck into your boots, and most jackets have a bungee pull cord to tighten it around your waist. there are also these little slip on hoods with a pull cord that go down to about your shoulders that will keep you warm and dry.
Otherwise be prepared for misery since you're used to such warm weather.

For a week after a trip to Tahoe I daydream of skiing. Its 4 hours for me so we'll usually jump in someones Chevy in the wee hours, go at it for a full day, give the driver some uppers and crash out as they take us back after the slopes close

Hahaha, I can barely handle the normal 40ish degree winter!
