There's no proof as to if it's bad for animals or not, THAT I KNOW OF. It's really up to you, but you'd think that they really can't get high as they're only inhaling second hand smoke, unless you do a shotty.

They are very entertaining and playful though. I had loads of fun with mine, but I would avoid dwarf rabbits. They are very high prone to getting cancer and dying very young. The longest one for me lived not even 2 years, so that's why I haven't bothered getting another one.
But normal rabbits, they can live a much longer life. My cousin has one that's about 5 years old now. Keep in mind they are a little bigger, and get about the same size as a cat.
The nice thing about them though is they don't make any noise at all. They don't cry, whimper, beg and whine, nothing!
Big ones can be kept outside in a large pen when it's nice during the summer.
Just make sure you keep their pen/cage clean. You wouldn't want to be sitting in your urine and feces for weeks, so don't do the same to them. When it's dirty, clean it. For food, just go to any retail outlet or pet store and buy the right kind of food. Pellets are good for them, but avoid the mixed food with corn and such added, as that is very high in calories and they'll get fat. Instead, give them a daily does of lettuce, or parsley, even the tops leaves of carrots that most of us throw away.
For drinking, the best would be a drinking bottle that straps to the side of the cage.
And that's about all. To keep the bugger from getting loose when they are out in your yard, simply buy a cat harness for them, and tie them up somewhere so they can't leave the yard. They are fast fuckers and can move man.
Rabbits are cool though. The big ones seem to more laid back that the dwarf ones.
Thanks man. That's what I was looking for. I'm really thinking about getting a big one. They seem so cool. Now, only if I can convince my roommates they are so much cooler than cats.Quote:
