Shov's Afghani x BOG Medley Spring Grow
Here's a little over 2 weeks growth for the Afghani X Bog Medley. The Three Little Pigs are bagseed of unknown origin and age. Probably pretty old as they didn't want to wake up very well. Only these three popped out of a dozen seeded.
I'm still using (2) F32T8 5000K lamps for now. When the BG grows finish I'll move them to the other lights.

Today I moved the Afghani X BOG Medley, bagseed grow. I cleaned the area and the equipment from the Bubblegum grow. I hung two (2) lamp T-8 5000K reflectorized fixtures and set up the (4) T-5 for later side-lighting. I plan on doing a number of different things with these plants (cloning, seeding) but the trick is, I plan on using the mentioned 344 watts of florescent lamps using the day-light lamps for vegging and the warm white 3000K lamps for flowering. I'm starting with 12 seedlings now and hope to bring at least six females and a male to flowering.
Back it up, Bruce....First off this morning, I noticed a plant wilted flat
I watered it and hoping for the best. I'm not used to these small pots. Usually I have as many as 200 seedlings squirming around in a planter. :)
I think it's gonna make it though. I drilled drain holes in the three pots that didn't have 'em and set all the pots in a plastic tray.

Well wouldn't ya know, I was doing a little reading... The BOG used NL#5 as a breeder when he was developing his Bogglegum strain! That explains a lot about some of the leaf structure I've seen pop up in that mix!
If the NL-style leaves are any indication, a couple traits that his NL derived strain are also supposed to carry are:
-low odor
-mold resistance
-creeper stone
-lightning fast finish, as little as 44 days
Oh and shov, my prodigy put her Afghan x BOG girl into flower last week... pics to come if I get over there to see her, lol :D

I went away for a few days this week for work. Meanwhile, we got this cold-ass weather. The grow area dropped to 60*F. Not much progress at that temperature, so I added a 250W HID for the heat. Well, we hope for better days ahead.

Yeah we got that here too... temps dropping to 0'F overnight... they say this is the end of it, just tonight, warming up tomorrow, and after that, more springlike weather. Keep warm!:D

Well, here's a photo of the plant flat. As I said, the plants didn't do much growing during that cold week that I was away. I watered them up good, expecting tempuratures in the mid-high 70s to dry 'em up pretty quickly. Such was not the case. They looked cold and wet. I have one plant in ICU (no cameras permitted...<G>)
The three bag-seedlings are almost two weeks old (since planting). They are doing pretty good, I think. They have the yellow band around the stem.

Heh, hope that plant in ICU recovers quickly. I think the bagseedlings look good too. They're about what I got in 2 weeks so I hope it's good. ;) The afghanix's are a bit small but look pretty good other than that.
