Trivium the new Metallica?
What the hell.
Fuck no. Trivium are a load of bollox. They're over styled and unoriginal. I don't get how they're appealing, their riffs aren't great and their lyrics are shit. No way do they compare to Metallica.

who gives a fuck about trivium being the new metallica or not. they are a solid band and well worth listening to if you like good, loud thrashing metal. personally i think metallica turned to shit the moment they ditched dave mustain and stopped using songs he was involved with on their records.

Ehm solid band? if your musicly declined maybe, yeah i would agree with others on the fact that they have no real originallity, in the music or lyrics. I dunno they suck personally. They are not what i look for in a metal band, what so ever. Its like listening to something that mtv made, something that gets the attention of ppl who know nothing about the genre of music. Just like all the shitty emo bands out there, that depend on thier image and fans to keep the alive, as opposed to a great band that needs neither but has both just becuase they have the music.

I agree. I heard some of their earleir work and I loved it. Then I downloaded their latest stuff and I was grossed out.

i dont think metal, in any of its [redundant] genres has been original since the early eighties. since then its been nothing but more of the same. since trivium are basically ripping off metallica its a good thing they do it well.

not a big fan of triv...or as i lay dying...i like as i lay dying more though

yeah i like 'as i lay dying' more. like chowder said there new stuff im actually not diggin as much. iv listened to more of there shit since i started this thread and now regretting naming it 'Trivium the new Metallica"........my bad guys
