Growing cannabis sideways
thats kinda how we did it
the top frame is the side view and the bottom frame is the top view
the orange things are homer buckets
the purple shit is parchute cord
the blue is hooks to hang the light and
the yellow thing is the light fixture
i know its way crude but fuck it ive got a touch pad (laptop) and pbrush its all ya getting
ya just train the plant to the para chute cord hella easy we grew a couple of monsters under her house (3foot crawl space) but we didnt know shit about light penatration and what not then so our yield was kinda disapointing but not that disapointing they were all between 5and 7 feet long took for ever too fucking light issues if only i knew then what i know now i would have put a pair of 600 watters down there

this is the same as LST...not adavnced techniques here...moving to indoor growing. as this could be indoor/closet technique

I'm thinking about growing a plant upside-down. the buds would hang from the stems not be held up. I believe this is used in aroponic growing
I’d be easy to spray the undersides of the leaves when foliar feeding
When I have the space

I want to grow tomatoes upside down, its a relatively common practice and no need for a cage!

which way do the roots grow?
Growing cannabis sideways
Don't they always grow in the direction of unused soil? I'd be surprised if gravity played a role in their direction of growth. When they hit the bottom of the pot they go right up the sides.

i think gravity does play a role. when you plant a seed the root grows downward and pushed the stem upward so they must be using gravity to know which way is "outside" so it can make the stem go outside.
no offense but i think its stupid and too much trouble growing sideways you will only have light pointing from the side no light gets into the lower canopy and also even if the plant is sideways the roots will grow downward so the best thing to do is plant normal but train it to be sideways
but still if you make it normal you add light in the sides and make ur plant go wild and big.. this wouldnt make plants big and im sure you will give up after 2 weeks seing that the plant doesnt grow like you though it would

Perhaps in the beginning gravity does play a role, but I have seen plants grow upside down so who knows. Well maybe someone does.

I do not have alot of Experience with Cannibus, but I have alot of gardening experience. Geotropisms (Hormone that reads Gravity) only seem to effect the plant at Germination, Once the Plant breaks through the ground Phototropisms (Hormone that reads Light) take effect. The Roots tend to use Hydrotropisms (Hormones that read Water) to figure out where they want to go. I have grown many different plants in many different directions to test the theorys, including one plant I grow upside down. The only time you can not get the plant to grow upside down is at Germination. Leaves and stems will chase light, Roots will chase water. This may not apply to all Vascular photosynthesis species.

yeah, i think you might have to start the plant normally... then make the decision to sideways grow once the root is mature enough .
