My husband is like a crazed horse trader when it comes to cars. If the mood strikes him and he gets what he considers an interesting offer, there goes my car and in comes another. That's how we ended up with the Lexus, which he bought when I was at work one day. He picked me up at the office and said "Say hello to your new car. I'll be selling your Honda." (my previous, much-loved car) He never sells his own vehicle, a truck. I've hidden the title to the Accord I got from my sister, and he can't sell it anyway since it's in my name now. But I sense that he's itching to do some more car-trading and that the Lexus, which has only been with us for 9 months, may not be here much longer. Goodness only knows what I'll end up driving next. I hope it's a hybrid of some kind if and when the next deal happens.
I love Alpine, man! I don't think I want the alpine subs, tho. I'm thinking pheonix Gold (sp?) Those things got madd bass! I'm thinking it'll cost me between $950.00 - $1300.00 for the system I want. I could get it now, but I have othor things planned, lol! ;)Quote:

2005 Pontiac GTO, (6.0 with 400 hp) in Midnight Blue met. or Yellow Jacket w/ black rally stripes. Tremec 6 speed short throw manual shifter. I sold cars at a pontiac dealership in 2004, and we had a 2004 (5.7 with 350hp) in Yellow Jacket with black rally stripes and a manual shifter. It was my favorite car on the lot. I was driving it back from a GM employee picnic, and one of my porters passed me on the freeway doing about 90mph in a Grand Prix GTP. I thought to myself "oh no you didn't!", was going about 75, dropped it back into 4th gear, and punched it. It threw me back in the seat! I was watching the tach (didn't look at the speedo), and popped in back into 5th right before I hit 6000rpms. A second later I passed him back up, and looked down at the speedo. I was doing 148mph! (and still had another gear to go!) Decided I had better slow down!
I just love those GTOs... If someone GAVE me a corvette, the first thing I would do is try to find someone who would trade their GTO for it! They have the sweetest suspension and stearing system (electric assisted power stearing pump = no fluid cavitation in fast, tight corners) of any sportscar I have ever driven. And I have driven most of them... Jags, corvette z06's, Subaru WRx STi, RX7s and RX8s, Jetta GLI, Mustangs, T-Birds, ect...
A geo metro...lol. i just want something with wheels, a tape player, and heat that wont break down
I would like to have my 71 Lemans Sport Conv back,,,sad sad day when I sold it...
