At this point, a lot of light is hitting the floor, as your pots are spaced too widely.
You would do well to clump them all up together and lower your lights so the lumens per sqft are maximized in the growing area.
Then later, as your babies get bushy (as I know they will! You seem to take great care of your plants!), you can spread them out a bit, raise the lights, etc.
If you want to get really neurotic about saving lumens, you could try sprinkling a layer app. 1 cm thick of perlite on the surface of the soil. It will relfect light that would otherwise be absorbed by the dark soil, and wOOt! prevent stupid thrips and shit thinking it's a great place to lay eggs.
Look under advanced in the 'supercropping' thread... I went into a little detail about pot spacing there I think.
Thanx for the advice stinky. the reason the lights are so high is because they are just rooted clones comeing from flourecents. once i see growth i will lower my lights for shure. last grow i got my lights as close as a foot above my plants!

Looks good Organic! We will have to do a clone trade sometime in the future, looks like you are already kind of set up and ready to go. If I could get my hands on a few within a week would that help you? Let me know bro.

P.S Still a newbie, but you could conserve lumens, space, and energy by starting those clones up in smaller pots and maybe just put them under some CFL's. Curious what your reasons behind starting them in the 3 gallon pots are. See ya

That is exactly right. Did you see the supercropping thread in advanced? What you just described is standard practice at commercial greenhouses.

well what i have noticed is that transplanting is not necesarry. some will definately argue with this one. since i am only going to veg for a couple weeks it would be pointless to have them in 1gal. buckets for a week and then transplant them. in my opinion, it is a waste of soil, time, and effort to go from clones to small pot, to large pot. this is only IF YOU HAVE ONE ROOM. if you have a seperate veg room it is somtimes very legitimate to have smaller pots so you can fit more in but is not my case right now.
Alot of growers choose to transplant right before they start flowering but if their plants are in shock from the transplant it will effect the bud production.
By transplanting straight into the soil my plants are going to spend their life in i wont be affecting the roots by transplanting and i can switch to flowering sooner. this is why i skip the preliminary transplant to a smaller pot before going to a bigger one. comments aprecciated.

Hey, SC. Looks like you got your stuff down to a science, man. I was keeping up with your other thread, and you just seemed to be running smoothly. I don't remember seeing you finish up. Any harvest pics?
Well, this next one looks just as good and clean as the last one. I like the one room system. Looks effective.
Do you purchase your clones or cut them yourself? Reason why I ask this is because I would like to figure out the timing of cutting clones so they don't turn into monsters before you're ready to flower them. If you buy them, disregard this question. I'll figure it out. :)
So you're gonna veg them for a couple weeks, then flip 'em, right? Is that what you did in your last grow? I'll have to go back and review it.
Good luck, bro. Toke up.

Edit: OH, one more thing. I love that Ganja Farmer song. I got it cued up now.

yo whats up fog, my harvest pics are on my old SSH UPDATE grow log.
as for clones, i cut all my own. what i do is i will cut clones for a grow a week before i switch to flowering. after i cut my clones ( about six) i grow them for the remaining month or two of flowering. during this month i LST and bush them out. then right before i am about to harvest my flowering plants i go through and do a second cloning session and will grab like ten clones of each plant. by the time they are rooted i have already switched my lights to MH, cleaned out the room, and bought soil for my next grow. its a great way to save strains.
as for veging time last grow it was like 5 or 6 weeks... way to long. this time it will be a lot shorter.

I see...thanks, man. That's a good system. So then you trash the ones you took the 10 clones off, right? So, I suppose this means you don't keep mothers...? Where do you veg these plants while you're flowering them? You must have a veg room somewhere then.
So, if you don't use mothers...these would be 'generational' clones, right? Reason why I bring this up is that I'm curious of the quality of the clones as you go generation to generation...
And then these clones are going to veg for a couple more weeks then you will clone them 1 week before flipping?
Sorry if I'm still asking so many questions. I'm just trying to understand it all. :D

Let me break it down. in this grow im doing i have 24 plants. i will take one cutting of each plant until i feel satisfied (about 6 cuttings). i take the cutting from the lowest branch on the plant since i will probably be getting rid of that branch any ways. now i have six cuttings and i know atleast half of theese will root. lets say 4 cuttings out of 6 rooted. i take theese 4 cuttings and grow them into mother plants which will give of about ten cuttings from each plant. i spend the time my other plants are in flowering growing theese clones into mothers. i grow theese mothers under 3 80w flourecents in my closet. once i am about to harvest my flowering plants i take cuttings from theese 4 mothers in hopes to get 40 cuttings while my weed is drying my new 40 clones are rooting. you can also just keep a couple for mothers so you dont have to take cuttings off of your plants. the problem with this is that they get really big and i find my self running out of room.
