Supporter - "So....we should still be in Iraq"

This is true. By nature my thoughts are with my child, that is all my heart can stand at the moment. It is enough. I opposed this war BEFORE my son was involved and continue to oppose it now. It breaks my heart to see the iraqi mothers crying and to think of all those children that are suffering. I try to stay focused on what I can do to help my son get through this, that may be selfish but it is all I know to do. I live with the hope that someday Bush and his followers will be held accountable.

Best wishes to your son Blue. In my book, the biggest heroes in a war are those who save others, not those who kill the most enemy troops.
It is truly a shame that our "president" seems to care so little for the sons and daughters of the country he is supposed to be leading. I too hope that he is someday held accountable for starting a war for no reason other than supporting his own agenda (which, in my opinion, was nothing more than boosting his own ego). If nothing else, certainly the history books will hold him accountable.

...I'm confused...is he back at Baghdad ER ?....after taking a recent leave ?...
..and now you both have daily contact by E-mail ?
...hell...my mother never even wrote me a letter.....
...but if he is concerned about talking to the medical people....go first to the special forces doctors..then/or..the Chief Nurse...second....the chief nurses I knew....were the smartest old bitches...that I have ever met...things they told me, I should do.....I still do...
..I don't know if this makes any sense to you or not....I have never done this before...except in my head...

He came home on leave before he went to Fort Bragg He is back at Landstuhl for the moment. He works with 2 special forces doctors that he cares a lot about. They have kinda taken him under their wing so that makes me feel a little better. I am afraid the chief nurse took an overdose of pills. He never mentions the new one so I don't know......
He said the new navy doctor walked in and took one look at a burned quad amputee and passed out cold. I bet he never lives that one down, huh? :)
We are very lucky to be going through this in the information age....Most everyone can email or call one way or another. I probably should not talk much more about it here though.
I am sorry your mom never wrote you, reading that just made my heart sink. :(
I'd love to write to you if you don't mind and you make perfect sense.
thanks Dutch thanks for years ago as well as today. :)
PEACE

I don't know if I'd say that....I couldn't do what they do. Maybe the injuries are more horrific I mean so many of these guys would have died in the field hospitals if it weren't for the machines they hook them up too.
They say they put them on machines in order to give the family a chance to say goodbye but then if they don't die in Iraq they can fudge the numbers.
Its just really fucked up.

i love a good party !!!! shoot, if Fengzi wife wont wear the tinker bell outfit, i will:) It would be impossible for my sexuality, or my identification as a straight male, to be questioned by such a silly fun thing to participate in.
I refuse to wear stripes and polkadots(sp) together. I do have limits.;)

Did you know that the Israeli Army is treating its soliders who are coming back from serving in the occupied territory and have been diagnosed with PTSD, with cannabis?

Thanks for the invite Blue, but getting my wife to wear the Tinkerbell costume isn't the problem. Having lived in what was basically one type of commune or another for most of her life, however, I doubt she'd be willing to go back. To give you some perspective, the first time she had her own bathroom, meaning a bathroom in her/her family's house, was when she was 26 and we were married. Guess who cleans the bathrooms in our place now? Yep, me. Wonder why? Because, since she never had a bathroom she never learned to do it herself. LOL. Seriously, I'm not kidding.
