Okay guys you really need to know your rights for those of you who are in america. You could be high as shit and they have no right to search your car. Cop asks "Sir have you been smoking illegal substances?" It is simple all you have to say is no. They ask you if the can search the car. You should say no officer I do not concent to any searches. And if they search anyway that is illegal.
but there is also probable cause and the fact that a cops job is to get you into inrcriminating yourself. Even though people here somehow find security behind thinking that they can just deny searches whenever they want to.. the cops are all prepared for it and how to react to it. For example, if a cop really thinks you are high and wants to do something about it he can do a field test, proove you are high, and then search your car for the evidence. I would just avoid smoking in cars unless you absolutely have to, thats the only way people get busted.Quote:

Removing the shoe to check if anything is inside is a common practice, and is not considered a strip search...whoever told you that needs a thump to the head, about being high as shit and you the above poster saying they cant search your car.....think again...its cause Reasonable Suspsicion, gives cops everyright to search your car. Ever heard of Suspicion of DuI?
