New to this... oz/grams = how many buds etc?

28.3 is generally accepted as an ounce, ounces are a US measurement and grams are metric, nothing converts well between the two systems, thus depending on which method you use to convert the numbers will vary.

example: 16 ounces is not exactly 28.3*16=452.8 g it is actually 453.5924

Everyone here first assumes a new poster is male. Forget looking at the screen name and realizing this is either a girl or someone who likes to be called one.

Anyway, since you said you usually smoke out of a pipe, I can usually pack 2-4 bowls with a gram of weed. Granted though all those bowls are packed for two. You could maybe expect 4-6 bowls with a gram if you are smoking alone.

I'm in an odd mood, good weed, very mellow. Peace.

Can I make an early morning (still sleepy) suggestion? Why not go down to you local health food store and buy some parsley? My HFS has VERY nice digital scales (I lust after them) and you could see what a quarter oz of "dried, leafy material" would look like. Parsley is also very good for you- has vitamin A and a load of minerals- just put some in any meaty dish to boost it's nutritional level a bit.- (A rather sleepy) Granny Storm Crow

Since you use a pipe a gram is generally about 3 decent bowls, so an eighth should be about 10-12 bowls, and you can use your math to answer the rest. For a joint, it really depends on how big of a joint you're rolling, you could probably make a gram into 2 decent standard sized joints.
