There's no real big difference for me, but it definitely makes it harder to push yourself most of the time when you'd rather be laying on the couch.
I think it's almost a waste of a smoke anyways, since any physical activity brings down your high. Why not wait until afterwords and enjoy it that much more?
If you're worried about it being bored, grab your mp3 player (granted you have one) and just go lift, run, whatever. Smoke afterwords and make it last longer than what it would be if you did before working out. ~

Yeah, I do have an mp3 player, and I always take it with my to the gym. I'm just experimenting with cannabis a bit to know what I can and can't do.. now that winter has hit the UK and it's cold as fuck outside it's so hard to do anything more than rip a few bongs and sit on my bed watching anchorman :thumbsup:

Sometimes I just make amazing shot after amazing shot, like last time I went, other times I just kind of suck, it really varies. And I definitely suck when I start to get burnt out..heh.
It can get really really intense when your heart starts beating so fast, if anyone's smoked any laced bud (with coke) that's sort of what it feels like, except you're actually causing your heart to do that rather than coke.
Short story: Do it, it makes time pass by much faster :D

Heh, well i think it just effects people different ways.. only way to find out how I react to it is to... yup you guessed it :)
I shall get royally fucked and go to the gym, if its too much for me on the running machine I'll just head over to the light weights because there really not that difficult, but running gets me absolutly knackered :stoned:

I wrestled in highschool. I toked up once before practise(SP?)
That 2pm -5 30pm was the worst smoking experience of my life. Wrestling is not an easy sport, well not at my school. One of our coaches was a wrestler in the marines or something and placed in Nationals..ugh.

I dont know whatsup with you guys but as a 21 year old toker whos been smokin pot daily for almost a decade, I LOVE working out when I'm blasted...
Granted the high only lasts about an hour but I concentrate so much harder on tearing apart my muscles by lifting that extra rep or two. My motivation at the gym is easily doubled if not tripled when I'm faded... you just have to block everyone else out and realise they ARE NOT STARING AT YOU, YOU ARE PARANOID CUZ YOUR HIGH!
I run a SLOW mile on the treadmill before the workout as my warm up... about 10-11 minutes, any faster or farther and i completely lose my high. My workout consists of a 4 day split of weight training.
Doing cardio while high is useless... you fatigue faster and your sober in 20 minutes
The trick is Mr Pink, to get high on the WAY to the gym... not at your house watching t.v.
Have you ever tried any protein shakes or creatine/musclebuilding products? They really do work - just stay away from steroids... Ive been drinking GNC protein shakes for over a year and I swear by them. NoXplode is a great creatine with no loading/unloading phases and doesnt cause the bloating of traditional creatines
For your first time at the gym start on cable machines in case you lose your balance because ur high... its much safer
BTW I would NEVER suggest you do this if you do not smoke pot DAILY! THIS SHIT IS DANGEROUS
Do not get me wrong Mr. Pink, you are WAAAYYYYY better off going to the gym sober. And if you wanted to get serious you'd quit smoking all the way but not even I can refuse Mary Jane... Although there are no clinical studies on the effects of marijuana on the body during excercise, I'm pretty sure it does have catabolic properties... That basically means its bad for muscle growth.

I really don't want to build muscle mass, only loose weight, get fairly fit and tone up so I doubt the properties of cannabis will stop be doing that. I really can't wait to get down the gym tomorrow. I run 3 miles and 10 minute miles at that so it's very slow then an hours worth of light weights I'll post back to tell you how my experience was :rasta:

Cool Cool I hope to hear how it went... But if you do it PLEASE do the running AFTER your weight training
It wont do you any good to run while high man, seriously... your just gonna come off of it and be burnt by the time your ready to workout
run a mile first, then workout, then run another 2 miles but seriously i wouldnt run high
try it 2 or 3 times and do your routine differently each day... you'll notice what works best for you

I'll run as far as I can go untill I feel uncomfortable then do some weights... after that I'll re-run any distance I missed, but hopefully it will be a good feeling, I'm taking lots of water with me and having an energy bar before I start so I won't be too burned.
