Cigarette bums at work

Yeah...I know a guy who bums smokes all the time. He says he's trying to quit so he doesn't buy any. Yeah...he's trying to quit alright...he just quit buying them.

omfg, I HATE people who say they're trying to "quit" but still smoke. Its like they don't understand what quitting actually is.

try carrying a stale pack of pall mall reds to hand out to chronic cigarette bums.
i used to do it and after a while i noticed no one was asking me for cigs any more.

When I saw this post I was thinking it was gonna go like this...

"Why is it that we get paid the same amount of money, and have the same job description, but you get to stand outside and be a bum, and smoke a cig every 30 minutes."

I don't think people should be aloud cig breaks at work.

i agree. i think cigarette breaks should be aquiet, not aloud.

as a jack smoker, i can tell you first hand if you didnt allow any cigarette breaks, alooooot of hell would break loose. and typically i hand out more jacks at school, work, or bus stops. doesnt matter where, if your around even just 10-15 ppl, atleast 2 are gonna ask for cigs. i generally dont mind giving em out, its karma. if i help someone out with a smoke when they are out, then when i dont have any jacks, i will be able to get one. it hasnt failed on me yet. and i just knocked on wood.

We don't get cigarette breaks at my job, but we are allowed to smoke while we work. We just light up right there in the shop.

Amen. Same I believe in with pot. I always share both. And yeah, if I can't take a break to smoke, someone will pay.

When I was young and naive I used to think if I did nice things for people it would come back and help me when I needed it. But I learned it doesn't always work that way. Some people will take advantage of your kindness and never return the favor. They'll just let you keep buying cigarettes to give them, and when you run out, they go bum one from the next guy. Same with pot.
