OregonsDank MMJ log!
Sorry about the headaches :X If im really careful with my diet, caffine intake, things that taint my blood :P I only get a few a year - but I must say a big joint sure does make the skies seem alot sunnier during these, and boy do I eat lol.
Another question, How many branches should a 5 or 6 inch tall plant have.. I have 6 different strains, none have grown upwards really, but they all have 7 - 10 branches, snowbud has like 12, most have 2 or 3 real strong tops also. My only worry is I topped them to early , well " FIM " cut off all but 3/16 of an inch from the top to force branches.
Mainly do you think its pretty normal for clones to stay around 5 inches tall and start growing sideways? I wanted to veg them to atleast 18 inches.
( my first time growing , ever.. if you cant tell :( )

Yeh they are growing a little slow, but I don't think that it's a serious problem, that is a nice amount of nodes for being so short IMO. The main reason IMO that they are not taking off right now is because you dumped them into those 3 gallons so soon and the roots have so much room to grow that allot of the plants energy is being focused in the root system, but in the long run you will have a killer root system. I like mine to get right at that root bound point then put them in a larger pot and they just take off. It is good to limit transplants, but once you get transplanting down, they will have some amazing growth spirts IMO.

Well my babies are just over 30 days old now.
I am very very pleased with how large / branchy / green they are, I think my first grows yeild will be amazing :D
The plants had a really bad middle life, I had temps going under 55 and up to 80 due to electrical problems, its all stable now :) I guess they would be much larger but seem on track.
I am getting a better camera soon but here is some pics of the medium sized plants.
----------
3 gallon pots, sunshine mix #4 with dry ferts mixed in at planting. Bottom lair of pot with some seaweed fert. Very little water first 2 weeks. Now 1 gallon every 3 - 5 days per plant. Foliar feed with superthrive 2 drops per gallon. FIMmed them when they were 2 weeks old , 5 inches tall. This is my first grow but im pretty stoked :)
Any help, comments , ideas , putdowns, ect... are welcome! :P

OregonsDank, your plants are beautiful.
Rudy looks especially neat... all leaves, like a big head of lettuce!

OregonsDank MMJ log!
lol yah idk... the biggest leaf is like 9 inches :X....
Has 5 tops, the others all have 9 - 15.
Do you know if I can trim out some of the big old leaves that hang over the edge of pots? They do get light but they are getting a little beat up when I spin plants.
Does trimming some big leaves stunt the plant?

Beat up leaves are better than missing leaves.
Just leave them on until they die naturally.

oic thanks, well I trimmed out some of the inner bigger 5 leaf. to give some light to the branches shooting up now that I trained my plants a bit more sideways.
I only did this on one plant so ill see if it helped or hurt :)

Well figured I would update and keep my question in this thread.
As some might know my grow got a bit " stunted " during the last 10 days but now growth has resumed at its normal rate. I had just been way to light on nutrients , mainly nitrogen since I was depending on the all purpose fox farm peacemaker dry fert I had mixed in to start with.
Here are some pictures of plants a few days back, new ones coming soon!
Since new growth seems normal, but it has of preflower hairs, I am going to go on ahead and bud now. I think I am going to start the dark period for budding today!!! Wish me luck!
2nd pic is my white widow, the most stunted / slow growing but very sturdy..
3rd is my bigbud
