I'm staggered that you think you would be doing that woman a favour. You're putting her, her family and her home at risk and on $12 an hour of course she may be tempted by your offer.

Thanks for the advice everyone. My friend in a city a couple hours away claims to know dealers with nice cars and shit- it's a well known university and university town that has a marijuana festival every year. I think getting to know them and using caution would be my best bet. If we don't tell anyone about the grow and only do a couple thousand watts, I don't see how we'd get busted during the grow. About the money- can you wipe your ass with 30 grand these days? my friend has 0 savings and is in her 40s....how the hell does someone survive during retirement without any financial plan? I think i need the money because..i'm uncertain about where the hell my MBA will take me after college. Also, i want a lot of cash up front so i can buy a condo and not owe every paycheck to paying it off. that's a great way to stay driving a shitty car and not going anywhere but florida for life.

If you live in Florida then you should spend a weekend in Gainesville! Big University, lots of stoners, and you shouldnt have too many problems finding "friends". But be careful, those cops will pull you over for a busted tail light and if they smell anything.... well i dont have to explain what happens next. I dealt for a year or two in the Daytona area and there are some dodgy people in that game, if your gut tell you not to trust them, dont. And you dont need thousands of watts to get a few kilos, one word... ScroG! But i would drag this woman and her kids into it. You are not going to get rich quick growing unless you do a very large setup or multiple medium sized setups. 2 lights is going to net you $4000.00 every three month. Not even enough to pay the rent and the hydro. To make it worth your while you will need a perpetual setup that yeilds about 6 to 8 pounds every month and a half. Then your in business. The only time a small grow you will profit from is if you do it in your own house and your paying rent there already. Then all is just profit (minus the hydro). If it's not in your blood to go all out - don't bother. You really have to be a career criminal to do what you want.

I think if you have to look for connection, and you dont already have them from living your life, then your in the wrong buisness man.. honestly i have friends, hookups, conects all over from years of just livin the way i do.. many people will say the same thing and have already, if you arent familiar with this shit then its a bad time to learn.. everyone is out to get themselves nowdays and you have to be extremely careful dealing with the smallest dealer because everyone has a big mouth and what one person know eventually everyone knows.
if you have to get online to ask people how, where, what, when about drug dealin you need to just steer clear before u get yourself into somehting that you'll wish you hadnt.. take it from me and everyone else who has said somehting about this.. not a good idea, and think of the kids man.. its not any fun growing up without a mom.
I do think that you are being a little too thoughtless about your friend, when LIO steps in the picture and your a mother watching your kids being taken away no amount of money is worth it.
If you feel absolutely compelled to do this, then take about $10000 and by a beat up mobile home and turn that into your grow opp. and invest another $6K into your set up. with a 2K system you should beable to pull 2 two 3 LB every 2 months or so witch would be about 4 to 6K every 2 months.
It is a very bad IMO to get involved with her, she has too much to loos, let alone the business dynamics that are so hard to maintain in a normal situation let alone this kind of situation, you will be starting off taking an unnecessary risk right out of the gate when you can avoid it by doing your own op, don't even let her know.
Like someone else said, give her a gift of a couple thousand. If she doesn't have any savings and 3 kids still at home, she may be a poor decision maker judging by her baggage and you don't want to get caught up in any of it.
Or else, just take the money and invest in a 4 plex apartment building or a two plex , live in a unit, convert a bedroom into a small 1K set up and stack your chips and sale it when your done with college if it doesn't suit you.
Your going for a business degree? You should be up on your game partner, not trying to bust your ..., just trying to save you a headache down the road.
