i play drums and the flesh flute
I play guitar, both electric and acoustic, but I have learned several percussion instruments, including a drum kit of course, but mianly bongo, and dejemba drums. The loud thunder of it all. :p
I played around on a bass guitar for awhile as well and used to have one, but I got rid of it a long time ago, before I turned 18, so that was like, 7yrs ago.
Tips for playing guitar though is find one that is comfortable to play. Don't worry about all the specks and fancy names, just find one you like. Learn some basic scales, some basic chords, and start from there. It will take longer than 2hrs to learn to play, longer than 2 weeks, longer than 2 months...it takes patience to learn to play any instrument, but you'll get through it no problem if you really enjoy playing.
Eight years of piano.
Love it <3.
10 years of guitar, 7 years off bass.
8 years of rocking out on the drums. I also play djemba, good fun.
i play guitar and drums. i play rythem guitar in my band and i can play a mean cowbell!
man alotta people w/ some talent on here! i need to catch up lol
Weed seems to influence alot of talent, spesh with music.
When i was with my band at the beginning i was the only one smoking, but i was also on the coke and acid.
After that, when i calmed down and slowed up on everything apart from weed my other band mates started smoking up with me at the studios and we started making better music almost instantly. We wasnt thinking about it, we was jamming and just made songs up as we jammed.
The weed is what made us good, and as we got good our talent improved.
Not so long back we met up and we was all talking about how much better we got, before we started giging/playing/smoking weed we all sucked.
The guitarist was good even when we started, but alot of the riffs were repetitive.
I was playing bass... I could play almost any song as long as it wasnt something i made up. lol
Our drummer sucked, well, he didnt but he was always trying to do fancy bits and going outta time.
But looking back, after everything, all the weed and shows we've realised that we are all really good with our instruments, and for a long time, we were all profesionals at playing our instruments.
I've been playing guitar for the past three years.
I played the sax for about two years.
And I played the piano for about three and a half years. I've actually started to use the piano again recently.
I don't really know some "tips" I could tell you for learning the guitar except play it everyday for at least a minimum of 15 minutes a day. Usually I do 45 minutes minimum everyday.
Have fun with the guitar, its a great instrument.

I play the Doumbek! (some type of drum, think it first came from Turkey or something.. Kind of mroe brassy sounding drum than a djembe or a conga. ALthough I have been hearing some pretty nice sounding conga drums thinking about getting one, anyone wanna trade a conga for a doumbek?
