There was a post recently where someone was asking why he had only tiny buds after nine weeks, it was because he was using MH instead of HPS.
If you can... the ideal thing to do is go from MH to HPS
but don't take my word for it..
I have looked and looked for a conversion bulb that is hps but made for mh ballasts but all i can find is the exact opposite. If anyone knows where to get one plz spread the knowledge.
You can also try a red burning mh bulb but they are 3000k and the hps are 2700 hundo, I don't see how 300 degrees kelvin will make a difference.
HPS in veg increases the chances of a higher male ratio.
..that would be best!.....second best? 400HPS Hortilux...would be my choice.Quote:

I did a quick search and this was the very first result: http://www.gchydro.com/EYE+Hortilux+...ast+-+HPS.html .
I didn't do any further searching since it's obvious there's plenty of this info available at your fingertips if you step away from the bong for a moment and look for it. :stoned: With a bit of research you can probably find one for $50 - 70.
what about using a red/orange peice of plexiglass between the bulbls and the plants?
