For rap and hip hop to change, the culture that listens to the music has to change.
Prime example...OutKast. IdleWild is probably THE BEST hip hop album out right now. Original beats, original music, thought provoking lyrics. But many listeners want bump that album because there is no talk of rims, bling bling, big booty bitches, etc. People start buying more albums from groups like OutKast and The Roots and you'll slowly see artists like Young Jeezy/Wayne/Payne/Jock/Whoever else slowly fade away.
the only good rappers around are outkast and luda
of corse i hates the raps
it all went down hill once adidas with no laces went out of style
well maybe more when people started gettin shot
let me correct that agian when people started getting shot
for no reason except they were the better artist now
who cares if one gets shot cause 15 others will replace him
and sound exactly the same
ok since some apparently didn't hear me the first time, "chain hang low". that's all i gotta say about the current state of rap. creativity hangs low and so does my head when i hear this song
Uk hip hop is becomin pretty big these days, Once people stop trying to compare them with U.S Mc's then maby we can blow world wide..
Aint nothing decent comin out from the states these days, prefer to listn to some old school stuff like the old wu albums, 2pac, biggie, eric b and rakim etc..
I still do like to listn to the underground stuff, likes of Imortal Techniqe, dead prez, rass kass, Mos Def, Krs one,Gangsta..
Certainly not my friend! I, too, belong in the underground.Quote:

Haven't listened to any punk/metal for over 3 years now. I find that underground beats almost always flow so well with the lyrical abilities some of those MC's possess. It's pure genius and art at it's best!
You wanna hear some real good hood rap, listen to D-Block (Styles P, Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, Ghostface). There the shit and by the way 50 Cent is the biggest faggot ever haha.
