MOLD

Dense buds are sometimes attacked by molds. These fast-growing, non-green plants grow from spores which float in the air. They start to grow when they come in contact with a conducive environment: high humidity, low light and temperatures in the 60's. These conditions are most likely to occur outdoors or ina greenhouse during harvest season, when the temperatures are lower than during the summer and when there is less light and higher humidity from the dense foliage. Any moisture or wetness is easily trapped in the buds and the molds grow quickly, turning and beautiful bug into a mush or slime overnight.

Indoors, molds also occur during harvest season, usually due to low light conditions and too high a humidity.

There are several things that can be done to prevent molds, and to limit the damage that they do. Molds are much less likely to grow when the temperature is above their ideal conditions. By keeping the space in the high 70's, their growth may be prevented. Since the spores float in the air, they can be precipitated using a negative ion generator. This means that there are fewer agents to create infections. Lowering the humidity by using a dehumidifier or air vent stops the growth.

See my attic is my bedroom about a qauter of it will be made into a grow room during this week. ill post pics. at the min im growing bag seed under 400wer hps gettin another next month wen i get paid. im waiting on NL X bigbud and Hollands Hoop. Have any of you experiance with these strains. where can i get industrial timers (Grow shop mybe) another thing how bad can the smell get if youve a small sea of grreeeennn. say 10 20 plants. do ozone generators work. handy book notech SAVED

Greetings BB.Industrial timers?I use a 400 w and normal timers and never ahd a problem.I'm getting a 600w and will continue to use the same timers.I think indus timers come into play when your talking over 1000 but I could be wrong.

I grew NL#5 graet plant resistant to most things and was a great yeilder so crossed with bigbud is always gona be a winner.Hollands Hoop,now theres Hollands hope and I here thats a good plant great for startin out but holland hoop I bought them before and they never germinated.Have'nt said that it wa from some British company so from a better source might have a better result.

I m hoping to have the Humidity covered im using my dehumidifer night and day, im taking over 6 too 7 ltrs of water a day but im keeping an eye on it with a meter so far so good.

dubs your better off growing, even if it ant cup winner shit it would still be miles ahead of whats on offer in Ireland
