Funny, I ate half an 8th raw of good stuff just to see, and NOTHING.
What a waste of good bud.
I'm sure there's SOME extraction of the THC when fats and acid in the stomach break it down..but not nearly enough as much as smoking or vaporizing. Sheesh. Only to be used in a last-ditch situation such as a trip with your parents where you can't smoke, or a plane ride..which sounds like a good idea actually.
Smoking is better than any. By smoking it you're immediately getting THC into your blood stream. I don't like waiting to feel stoned.
I once ate a gram of weed, didn't feel anything for 2 hours. Then i smoked the little tiny pinch of weed that was left from the dimebag, and the entire gram was suddenly activated, leaving me completely fucked for the rest of the night.
one time when i wuz a noob i ate an eighth cuz i thought itd work but i felt absolutely nothing.
i was very dissapointed
why not eat it???? i mean look at the substance...its just plant matter/folige god gave it to us for that purpose....Quote:

I now prefer eating to smoking- you absorb ALL of the THC when eating, whereas with smoking, you only absorb about 60%.
can somebody give me a link of a good recipe for firecrackers?Quote:

To give you a little chemistry. You all know that the active ingredients in cannabis are Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol. The reason it gets you high is because it binds to the cannabinoid receptor CB1, which is located in your brain. There are also other Cannabinoids such as Cannabinol, and Cannabidiol, which both account for the "stoned" feeling with cannabis, but these are irrelivant.
THC itself is bonded very nicely to the cannabis plant. It's a very strong bond, and it's not easily broken. However, with some agitation and a nice fat-rich substance (e.g. agitation in the form of heat, and a fat rich substance in the form of butter) this bond is broken.
If you eat weed straight, your body has a much harder time breaking it down, and you're lucky if any THC is broken off from the plant. Of course, if you go and eat a quarter of an oz straight off, it's going to do something.
However, if you simply cook the weed in butter, or a similar fat-rich substance, the THC is absorbed by the fat. Because fat is an organic compound, once it enters your body, it's much MUCH easier to be broken down. The THC simply falls off the fat to put it a simple way, and you're left with lots of THC pumping around your system.
So, to recap, eating it raw will work, but it will require much higher quantities for a lesser effect. Stick to cooking it in fatty/alcoholic substances, or just spliff up :)
