To actually answer your question, nobody else has, vegetative stage starts when the plant reaches its maximum blades per leaf. This will take some weeks. Seedling stage BEGINS, when the second pair of leaves, the one's set opposite each other, show themselves, they are usually single blades.

the vegatative period is the time you have to give your plant as much light as possible for photosyntisis!!! this is the period between seedling and the time when flowering begins!!! then lights should be put onto 18/6 17/7 16/8 etc etc until 12/12 is obtained!!! then after 7-9 weeks your bitch should be oozin her juices!!!!

At what point is 12/12 "obtained"? How is it obtained? At what point is it best to begin flowering?

well they say its recomended that u can start flowering once your plant is 12" tall, as it reaches maturity, earlier and it culd cause stress, wen your plant is about 8 week old, then u can probily start to flower for another 8-10 weeks

When you want to flower the plant, you switch the light times down to 12 light, and 12 COMPLETE darkness. No light leaks. The best time to do this is when the nodes start alternating. This is a sign of maturity in the plant, and means its ready to flower.
The plant will measure the UNINTERUPPTED light time and this will release a flowering hormone. You then keep the light on 12/12 for the rest of the grow.
If its a male plant the preflower will be small balls. These contain pollen and you should kill them as soon as you see them.
The female preflower will be little white hairs. As the flowering carries on the buds will form around these white hairs, and when you come to the end of the flowering cycle [Normally 8 weeks] you can give the plant complete darkness if you feel you want to. I dont know if it DOES make a differnce, but i do it anyway. If your using nutes then you need to flush the plant about 2 weeks before harvest, and then stop giving it water. [This will stop it from being completely wet when you harvest]

Yes you can add the led at any time, the more light the better. Although a higher Kelvin temp is recommended for vegging, it will still help your grow.
