Actually whiskey is in alot of home-made mixtures for plants.
I give my flowering plants this.
2 tbsp of fish fertilizer
2 tbsp of liquid dish soap
2 tbsp of whiskey(burbon)
1 tbsp of corn syrup
1 tbsp of instant tea
mixed into 2 gallons of
water.
I give them a feeding of that every three weeks.

Really?
Might I suggest some clean ground up egg shells for both a calcium additive and an acid buffering agent?

Could you please tell me what is the advantage of this? As far as I know detergent is very harmful for plants, at least for seedling and especially for germinating seeds (it kills them).
The thing with instant tea, I guess, is to increase amount of the sugar in plants (for better taste when smoking buds?)

As for the subj.
I heard one guy told me that he always buys a bottle of red wine and feeds the whole bottle 24 hours (maybe a lil more) before harvesting. He claims that after that procedure plant recieves unbelivable aroma and taste of the buds become so wonderful and шndescribable. =)
In my opinion adding strong alco like whiskey, vodka and all other stuff is just fetish and nothing more. I prefer clear and organic bud. The same with alco :)
Peace.

It was intersting to see everyones views on the subject
Iam gland that some poeple have tryed this and had some good results and some ideas for differnt alcohol to use.
the person that told me about this idea said that they added brandy while there buds were growing and it did not kill them
and that they got a really great high.
I was woundering if the plants can actually absorb the alcohol and thats why you get so high.
If anyone has a thought about this please write
Thanks alot :stoned:

Yeah, really, why is that shocking? Yeah some ground up
egg shells soaked in warm water over night will add calcium.
Gympsum sprinkeled over the top of you soil will add calcium
too while braking down salts that build up in the soil that
hinder plant growth. I use both gympsum and egg shells.

Actually tea contains tannic acid which helps plants intake more
of their nutrients.
As for liquid dish soap it softens soil and removes some of the nasty
unneeded build up in soil and help promote osmosis and photosynthesis
in your plant, plus bugs hate the taste of it when your plants soak it up.
And alcohol helps release nutrients that are locked in your soil that are not
being used.
Hope that helps:thumbsup:

That cocoction has been posted for along time.
However, the tea also acts as a pH down, and the tannins act as a stabilizer for the entire juice.
The dishsoap acts as a cutting agent to the deep soils and is also a wetting agent that takes the soil molecules that become water resistant and hydrates them once again.
It allows you soil to hold more water.
As well, alcohol acts as an internal stressor for increased THC production. It is a poison to the plant...and thus stimulates more action.

And I have not been here that long I have known about
that mix for quite sometime now. I always leave the ammonia
out of the original mix because its a source of nitrogen
and my plants get all the nitro they need from the plant
foods they are feed during flowering.
I don't know if you can read this but these are text took
from a horticulture book explaining how those substances
act. (shitty web cam)

I said this in the other post about alcohol:
There was an article written up a few years ago about this subject and flowers. It caused a great deal of skepticism in horticulture circles. Personally I have not tried it my self nor would I ever. What I do know is Alcohol will dry out the roots and the plant can’t absorb all the alcohol properties. The little hairs will pull back and nutrient uptake is reduced. Now it could be used as a stress technique very late in flower that may be possible. Some feel that stressing the plant late in flower can produce female seeds and may increase THC. Personally I prefer the stress free growing you have less problems and a better overall quality. I can’t remember where I found that article but if you Google it you may find it.
Make up your own mind.
