lighting questions plz help

i was just wondering if the air from my room would b to cold for the cab like i said i have the ac on all th time

speaking of ventilation does and one have any ideas on ventilation in that cabinet cuz im not too sure of how to do that any input is very usefull

and another thing lol what whould b the perfect temp to have in the cab

As far as the actual setup of yer cab, what method are you planning to implement? I have seen the Screen of Green (scrog) method work pretty well. Are you growing in soil or hydro? If I were you, I would use at least a 265 cfm blower just to cool the air cooled hood. You can pick one up here http://www.propertyroom.com/cgi-bin/...95249&gallery= for pretty cheap, like 20 bucks or so. I would have an fresh air intake on the top of the cab for the light as well as an exhaust for the hot air from the light. You can vent this directly outside as it won't smell if you seal it up good and tight. This will help you out maintaining the appropriate temps inside the cab. With the light being on a seperate air system than the cab, you could implement co2 injection to get a better yield. How much do you plan to spend on equipment? Do you brew beer? If you brew beer you could get a glass "s" tube to make an air lock and run a tube from the fermenting beer into the cab for constant co2 injection. Its fairly cheaper than buying the c02 equipment and is pretty constant. And you get beer out of the deal so woo hoo. :dance: I would get a smaller cfm blower and set it on a cycle timer to keep the temps in the right range for the cab itself. Grab yourself some wall mount fans like 6 inchers to move the air inside the cab around. Plants like breezes. It is hard to believe the there is a microclimate just around the plants leaves that has to be moved so fresh air can enter the microclimate. Hence the fans, buy two, one for each side of the cab. If this is yer first actual grow with a decent light, I would start off with soil. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask, I'll be subsribing to this thread and tagging along. You are on the right track as far as lighting is concerned. An old hippy guy once told me to throw away my piece of shit 175 watt lights and get myself a real light, he ended up giving me 3 1000 watters and I grew some of the best weed I ever smoked. i bought a stealth hydro system that didnt get here yet, should b here soon and yea this is gonna b my first grow and i had some money to spend so i went big lol

on my hood there is one or two thinngs that look like im supposed to attach a vent hose or sumthin so i guess i need to get one of them sumhow and attach it. now when i attach it i have to suck air away from the hood or what?

i really lack the do it urself gene or sumtin cuz i cant picture in my head how imma hook up these fans to vent it, and i had no clue what u were talkin bout with the co2 lol but yea thanx for the info

Co2 is carbon dioxide, which is what plants breathe. Plants can handle like 5 times the amount that is in the atmosphere today. To give you an idea of what it does, Imagine Lance Armstrong riding a bike with an oxygen bottle providing pure oxygen while riding. It would give him better performance. Same thing with co2 and plants. :thumbsup:
You will want to suck the air through the hood rather thn blow it through. The reasoning is that if you suck it out using the intake of a blower, you have a lower air pressure than outside the system. If there are any leaks, it will just cool the heated air from the hood. If you blow the air through the hood and have a leak, it will heat up your cabinet. Heat is an enemy espescially in close quarters like a small cab.
You will attach a hose to the part of the blower that sucks the air in. Run that hose to one of the things (tube adapter) on the hood. Put a hose on the other "thing" on the hood and run that to outside or wherever you get your fresh air. After that attach a hose to the blowing part of the blower and exhaust it outside or wherever you want that hot air to go. Keep askin questions, thats what we are here for, for you to learn from our mistakes/experiments.

my cab should get here today and i still need some more supplies that hopfully i could get today, i ne3ed mylar cheap fan and i need to get my intake/exaust system then i could finnally get started i cant wait

If you look at the pic of the generator, you'll see a little black hole. You can put a piece of 1/2 inch pvc out of that and introduce that into youe exhaust air. You'll want to do that as early in the exhaust tube as possible so the O3 has a chance to mix into the smelly air to precipitate the odor and render it not-smelly. I always watch the evidence room auctions and never ever see on ozone generator on it. That leads me to believe that they must work. Use one of these and keep your mouth quiet and you'll probably never have a problem from outside "visitors" to your garden.

i got my cab and my hydro system. i also soaked the rockwool cubes in warm water for like 3 hours is that enough? im drying them now so i can germinate my beans..
do i transplant from the rockwool? if so it looks kinda hard lol and i bought some mylar and reflectix im gonna line the cab with the refletix for insulation then im gonna staple or glue the mylar let me kno if im doing anything wrong and thnx in advance lol
