slowthestone, yes but we all know that pigs don't go by the book. They make it up as the go along. I guess you never had an 'illegal search and seizure'. They would have busted him in a heart beat the first time. Than after they had the evidence they would cover up their tracks to hold up in court.
true they might do that but they still wold have had to have a search warrent to take my plants but they only have one because my brother is wanted by the cops n he ran from the yesterday n they were here searching for him only not marijuana
Yo smoky...you're right...the two times I was about to be searched illegally...I let them know I knew. And then noted that anything they confiscate could only be that. Those are why...there are so many tails of people encountering police...and being let go once whatever it is they had was thrown away or just taken by the police.
Cuz those cops know right away that they're not going to get a legal arrest when nothing occurs that would allow them a valid reason to search your person.
The ones that don't know...well...you'd be inconvienenced yes...but not prosecuted.
Like the fella in Florida...his house was wrecked by a hurricane while he was away. The police approached the home at some point just for sake of making sure no one was there injured and needing help.
They noticed the 30+ plants growing right away, and went on to find and arrest the home owner.
The problem was...if it can be called such...the police had no legal business entering the premise just for sake of seeing bud. The reason of being there for sake of looking to help an injured person was a nice thing...but didn't hold any sort of legal water as grounds for confiscating the plants and arresting the homeowner.
They had no warrant. They just entered and did their thing without any approval from a judge.
Case dismissed.
Anyways, irrespective of cops following rules or not...it's a wise grower that is aware of their rights as citizens.

The laws that they enforce are. Learn to work the law...managing police is much easier when you know the rules of the game they play.
yes but how to prove it was illegal search and seizure when they cover their tracks to make it look and sound 'legal' and whos word are they going to believe a 'trustworthy enforcer of laws and protecter of the innocent' (I use that phrase lightly) or a 'pothead hippy'. I've argued that case all to many times and lawyers too. That would all be will and good if we lived in 'just' world. But we don't and it doesn't.
But our laws here in ohio are different if i open our doors to the cops to look for my brother they have every right to arrest me for the marijuana plant because its in the house we gave them permission

when they find the pot, remind them that it was not stated inthe warrent that they were looking for srugs of any sort...and all that will happen is a cut down of your plants and them leaving...but i would not advise growin in the house again after that......lol

don't get me started on cops in this city... they are the most crooked people I have met!! I was arrested once while I was about to move... I was in a hotel for the night before I left for another state with all of my personal belongings and my dog. They came in "looking for someone"... ended up searching me and my room, busted me for a quarter, threw me in jail, took my dog to the pound and tried pushing me to rat. I told them all to "fuck off", got three days in the hole wouldn't give me a bond (with no priors) and finally 6 days later my father of all people had to bail me out for five hundred bucks and when I got out to collect my belongings, all of my photography and computer stuff was gone... almost 10 grand in electronics. My buisness, and when I went to get my dog as they promised to hold him at the pound under my name.... they didn't and he was euthanized... they just laughed and said there were no cameras or computers and I don't know what you are talking about with your dog.....
All because I wouldn't talk.... I fucking hate pigs..
