This grow had me freaking a little because I had to keep making business trips, then the sale of this MB. I suppose anyone in the US would have liked to see it sold to someone in France or Venezuela...not to begrudge the new owner, just a hassle to always sign on with a proxy.

But it's cool if you are around and care to share some of your friend's grows...you know some inspiring tomato growers, for sure. Oh, and I'm starting a new tomato crop this fall with quality seeds and maybe keep a mom.

Awesome, though, when my friends---who usually have a hefty stash of their own---offer to trade an ounce 'cause they dig what you've created in your closet.

Would it be a totally bad/waste of time thing to do to use this mix when going into the final week of a grow?

Molasis being one of the ingredients, is a thing that helps remove nitrates from the medium...so in theory, the mix would both juice up the plants with its effects, as well as help leach the medium that final week.

The concoction does not call for moallases like many growers use. I personally believe that molasses contains too many impurities and could clog the root system's smaller feeler roots.

Corn Syrup is filtered molasses and doesn't offer that danger. Although, many old timers do indeed use molasses.

The corn syrup provides massive carbohydrates to the plant in ready to use fashion as the soil doesn't need to break it down into the basic sugar polymers. The plants love it.

Eggs shells provide high grade perfect calcium. This is needed plant wide in flower.

Ammonia provides perfect nitrogen for rapid uptake.

Gelatin provide basic proteins for stem strength.

Lipton tea acts as a pH reducer and stabilizer for the end product.

Jack Daniels provides the alcohol which I and many growers swear is the catalyst that sparks the increased THC which does indeed happen as a result of using this as directed.

As for the fear of sniffing the stuff, the amounts you use, teaspoons / tablespoons, arent enuff to fuck with the human nervous system when mixing.

The final week is not the time to use this concoction. It is best to be used in early -mid flower, say weeks 4 - 5. Right as the plant prepares to kick into THC production mode.

Feel free to do a side by side, as I have and this shit works.

It will make your crop the finest it can be genetically anyhow.

Of course there are peeps who do things differently so to each his own.

I looked (or attempted) into what was what with each ingredient...I'm no chemist...I simply gathered that anything high in fructose would do the trick. Honey for example.

The tea was a mystery...but no longer.

And the palmolive still has me baffled. Maybe it just makes the whole thing slippery so it goes down easier??? If its just for the surficant properties of the soap...I dunno...Johnson's baby shampoo would be my choice.

Again, I'm not knocking the stuff...I'm for sure going to give it a try...I'm just trying to figure what ingredient is doing what for sake of the likelihood of me having the same thing in a different product that I already have handy.

Such as coral calcium instead of egg shells. Or, because its so much sweeter...Southern Comfort instead of Black Jack. Or if the proof/% of the alcohol plays a role...Wild Turkey 101 is not only stronger...but wayyyy smoooother going down.

Hmmm...I wondering about top shelf rum now...its made from sugarcane ya know. Whiskeys and bourbons are mostly by-products of corn.

Either way...I'll be giving your blend a go for the experience...and maybe later alter the ingredients and have a bit of your brew's weed stashed away for comparision.

It's times like this that have me wanting to apprentice under a pro-grower/potanist...the learning curve would happen so much faster than it is as is. :o

As for the ingredients, I am sure you can interchange many ingredients...but these I know are the best I have used and are time tested and safe from top to bottom.

As for the corn syrup VS. honey.....don't be fooled. Refined corn syrup is far more pure and there aren't any minerals to clog the delicate flow tubes in the stems of the plants. This is the big danger with using sugars on plants.

Regular Coke would be better, for example, than honey.

Egg Shells vs. Calcium supplements... I would be careful on this one. Here you cross the line from natural to man made, even if its coral calcium. In all things there are balances and egg shells, while providing calcium as a first line mineral, also has many other beneficial factors in a balanced spectrum.

Singleling out individual minerals while ignoring nature's natural balances can do more harm than good...too much calcium and too little magnesium can be a very bad thing.

Egg shells are safe...thats what I know. A balanced spectrum of minerals as opposed to imbalanced spectrums.

The alcohol? Sure I know of people who swear by Gin...some by Jack, some by others. I have even used beer...plants love beer too btw....Use caution as alcohol can stunt the growth of plants. This is why it is used when it is...and not before...

As for the soap, I am a big fan of soap on plants but the Johnson's purity has its benefits only on the foilage of plants, not much else. Its a very weak soap for the particular benefits of soil that liquid palmolive offers.

The reason for a more aggressive soap is the density of soil of a plant container can get pretty high over time. Some soil molecules become actually resistant to water.

The aggressive nature of dishwashing liquid vs. gentle soap is far more efficient at getter the water to the roots where it is needed.

You want the aggressiveness of the liquid dishwashing soap. Otherwise, lighter soaps will cease their flow at about 2 - 4" deep and thats all.

Aggressive soaps force the surface tension of the water to be reduced and thats all that is needed to get these nutes to the micro places in the root system.

So yes, it acts as surfactant...but...it also keeps IRON in the soil from forming fungi...which can be critical in flowering stages. Its good if its got some strong anti-bacterial properties.

Finally, it heps the soil retain far more water on a molecular level. Your soil will actually hold more water with soap in it that without.

The rums I think are prolly a pretty good idea and maybe one day I would try that. But then again, I know what does work...however, I am far from being fearful of trying new things.

I just dont have the time i used to have to fuck around with everything under the kitchen sink.

Anyhow, feel free and have fun...yet be careful...I only know what I have tried and the concoction prepared and administered as prescribed produces a sweet, savory flavor and makes good weed great weed.
