Oh you know, just some Purple Haze
More than likely, it's not purple haze, but yes, it is around. I've smoked a couple of bowls once of some nice, purple, fruity tasting bud, that kept me high for about 4-6 hours. It was the best and longest high I've ever had, but to one guy, you don't live in the united states, so who are you to say that this strain is 'extinct?' I'm sure we get lots of different smoke that you don't get and vice versa.

If you are anywhere in the ATL area you should have heard about "the purple" thats been going around town for months now. The buds are very tight and crystally and believe it or not, purple. And this is not dye folks, I am a cannaseur, there were not adulterants on the bud I had. To be honest though, the color does nothing for me. As long as its covered in trichomes I am happy--I mean shit, thats what gets u high!
Oh you know, just some Purple Haze
How are we to ascertain whether or not a strain of cannabis is purple haze when it is still unclear (atleast to me) if it ever existed. Never the less if you want the novelty of smoking puple weed and bought it with that intention, not to mention gettin high, then thats all that matters.

hey peoples, im new here and from the uk. just wanted to say that yo, there is such a thing as purple haze!:smokin:
i've had perfect bulbous purple buds and squashed dirty-purple home-grown.
i am going back about 6-8 years though. both were of the same smoke and distinct taste.
the perfect batch looked like it was grown exceedingly well, snipped straight from the plant, dried, cured and then sold on as grade A buds. never seen a prettier bud. the buds were like shiny, deep-purple, balloon nuggets with green strips inbetween, which were probably the minor branches and hairs and stuff.
the stuff that i was informed was home-grown, was like a dirtier kind of purple, and the buds weren't 3-d. they were squashed and faded, but didnt bother me as it cost half the price. i assumed the first batch was chemically grown, and the second batch using soil.
it is definitely a highly recognisable smoke, and a beautiful change from smoking greens. growers/dealers/tokers round here all claim that it was a clone only variety, and has since died out. but there is a good chance that some stoned old guy is sitting here in the uk somewhere with a mother of the purple haze, oblivious to our plight. and he probably cant be arsed passing clones on or growing to sell....i dunno.
there are multitudes of seedbanks online at the moment, and many offer some form of purple strain. but not seen any site claim to have the original purple haze. ive also seen pinks and reds from afghanistan/russia regions. but whoever said that this is just the internet, is totally right. i cant say that ive definitely grew any of these new purple varieties. i have only seen pictures next to adverts, that could so easily be coloured in using photoshop.
thinking about it, though, the american purple haze could be something else, the same as the uk's american pitt bulls are different from the usa's american pitt bulls. strange but true.:D
anyways dudes i better get off before i talk myself into a coma....peace:thumbsup:
