little ball on the side of your pipe

On my pipe, there is one on the right side, the left side on the carb, and then 45 degrees from either one of those is another bubble.

mine has the carb on the left side, and three little bubbles on the right

i always used them as a grip too

I think all of the possbile uses for it has been covered. It's a decoritive piece that keeps the bowl from rolling over and provides extra grip.

I've learned to hold on it when the bowl gets too hot, could really careless what the real use for it is, it doesnt effect the smoke of the weed so you guys shouldnt be too troubled by it
