what's the carb do?

Yeah carbs are cool but they come in variety of forms.

Mostly on spoons rarely on chillums, carbs build up a cloud a smoke to rush into your lung with oxygen creating a better easier hit and a more efficient piece.

Called rush's shotguns carbs carborators, whatever works.

On some bongs the carbs are called slides. This is where the carb is a removable bowl inside a tube. The slides act as carbs but are often interchangable between bongs.

always make sure that if you rip it too hard that your absolute first move and thought is to take your mouth off the bowl. no one likes a blown bowl.

when youre hitting a bong (unless its a slide carb) theres a little hole on the back now if you want to hit the bong you have to hold the hole or you wont get shit... and when you fill the chamber with smoke you let go of the carb and instead of pulling in air from the bowl (which brings in smoke obviously) youre inhaling from the carb which is just air that "shotguns" the smoke into your lungs clearing the chamber

Hmm, should I apologize for not instantly being able to know how to use the carb on a pipe? Also, I was just curious as to how it works and some tips on how to get larger hits. Lighten up, I already told you I just started toking. Thanks, though, to the people that actually answered my question instead of criticizing me for asking a simple question.

carbs on pipes in my opinion are not really that nessasary. They really come into their own on bongs where you can build up the smoke open up the carb and suck all the milky goodness into your lungs!
