I was at the Taste of Chicago and we were going to cross Lake Shore Drive to get to the boats. So we ask this woman (whom obviously was doing something with the traffic) if she could help us cross. So she says "We can't let anyone cross the street because it's the President's route to the hotel." Then we decided, maybe we should flip him off (Sounds dumb, but it sounded good at the time). Well, as we were waiting, Lake Shore Drive started to become busy and everyone was under the impression that he had changed his route.

Then as we're on the boat we see all the cops and the limo.

I was so disappointed.

Reading about his life and times leads me to believe his time in Texas, after any time during his early adulthood to present...has been merely a series of stints here and there scattered over less than a 1/3 of his total years.

I dunno...I spose folks can take him at face value if they want to. But which face eh.

It's sad that the American people thought he was the best man for the job. I don't think Bush is below average intelligence, but I doubt he's much above average either. Surely, out of 300 million people, we could find someone smarter to run the show. But I guess the smartest people don't really want the job, so we're left with the dregs.

I was sold on him being full-o-shit as soon as I heard him speaking during his first campaign for President. Something to the effect of the people being able to trust him in D.C. on account of him having no ties to beltway politics.

Him saying this despite gobs of history of his ties to capitol circles of whos whos on the scene during his father's political career...and the fact that he was the point man for his father's succesful run for the Oval Office.

ffs...GWB is about the most transparent liar I've ever seen speak.
