so how do i get checked out to see if i have a mental illness? i dont think my granma or grandpa on eather side has anything, at least nothing i know about. i mean im sorda crazy, i sumtimes do things that most normal people wouldent do. ive tried weed 3 times before, all by myself, and i have a couple beers every now and then, is there anything i should be worried about? any other information would be good, thanks.

well idk about your situation, but smoking pot normally increases the symptoms for my depression. i dont mind, though. i kinda like feeling sad.

You like feeling sad? I like feeling good. And pot helps me when I'm depressed. weird.

so what can i do, or were do i go to get checked for mental illnesses?

Go to a doctor. If there's any need he can refer you to a specialist.

the only problem ive had with smoking weed is withdrawal symptoms, but thats fine aslong as im not around anyone im fine but when people are around me ill snap. weed does get me depressed but with constant smoking ull be fine

Well I wouldn't worry about it if any of your close relatives don't have any mental illness (not counting depression, anxiety, phobias, etc), you're probably in the clear

I'm not sure of your age (I'm guessing a teen), but if you're around the age of 20-25 by chance, then you're almost certainly in the clear, as something such as Schizophrenia generally (in men) presents itself then

WARNING: I'm a Psychology student, I don't yet fully know everything I should to be giving such advice. If you're seriously worried, get a check-up with a Psychiatrist (not a Psychologist, a Psychiatrist is an M.D.)

ok, im 16, going to be 17 in a couple months. one of my parents has anxiety/phobea, and is closterphobic. but other then that, i dont beilieve there is any mental illness.

what is schizophenia, and what are some simptoms? do you know anybody that has it, if so, how are they, or how do they act?

what would a Psychiatrist do? i would just go there and say, hi, i want to know if you think i have a mental illness. that would be sorda weird, lol
