Important question...need help!!
Thanks for the response JDOG!! I realize whatever I do it won't make it as fruity as something like "Juicy Fruit" or "Blueberry," I was just curious if it worked.
This is my first real grow (helped me sister twice) and it's all bag seed so I don't mind experimenting with a plant or two! Oranges are my favorite fruit so I think when I grow next spring-to-fall I'll order some Orange Kush seeds, but like I said... All I've got right now are 11 outside bagseed plants.
What about the curing? Does using fruit peels change anything? I know you can use them to add a little moisture back into your too dry bud, but never thought about using it to flavor or influence aroma...

My understanding is that you can make you plants taste and smell like virtually anything if you are growing in hydro. Vanillia? Mint? Mocha? Lavender? I have not experimented with this but have thought about looking into it.

drink pinapple juice.. it makes things SWEET...

I would like you to keep in mind that this is just a grow from bagseed. I'm experimenting, I WANT to try things! In the future I WILL grow strains that I hand pick, but for now, I am looking to do whatever I can to influence my final product in a way I would like! And I think/hope there is still some hope on this one!
I just came across something in the "old Overgrow faqs." It was under a question about "How did they get different strains different tastes?"
It said it depended on the levels of I think 5 substances. One of which was Limonene. Naturally occuring. Rinds of fruit. Lemon peel, orange peel...Limonene is what gives it it's scent! Limonene can be found purely in Orange Oil (oil extracted from the rind of an orange).
Wouldn't watering your plant with some Orange Oil in the water add Limonene to your plant? I am taking a leap here and I would say Limonene is at least partly responsible for the citrus smell and flavor that comes with some strains, since it is FOUND in citrus fruit!!!

The best thing you can do is get some Liquid Karma nad some sweet along with some Budswel for the sea bird and bat guano.
But the sweet has cane sugar and some other stuff that will sweeten up the buds.
I just started using it along with Liquid Karma.
I wouldn';t do the fruit peel thing.
It ruins the taste in my opinion.
Natural MJ flavor can not be beat.
So why try?

Im just curious Jdog7000, have you ever tried using any form of Limonene to supplement your plants?
I am not grasping how Limonene would "ruin" the taste of marijuana, since what it does for the plant is give it the citrusy smell/flavor?? It's natural, and it is found IN the actual plants. I will take a giant leap and say in the citrusy strains that Limonene is at "high" levels. (I use "" because I am not sure what a "high" level would be, but obviously Limonene is dominant in those strains or it wouldnt taste/smell the way it does!)

Yes, exactly.
The flavor comes from carbon-based aromatic chemical compounds.
Sugar is an excellent form of available carbon.
If you give your plants as much carbon as they can use, you will maximize the plants' genetic potential to produce these aromatic compounds.
I recently started adding Sweet to my ferts and have noticed the smell of my flowering girls is already marginally more pronounced.
