Have you ever been busted by a cop for pot?

I've been caught a few times, but cops around here in brooklyn are pretty leniant for the most part.

If a cop catches you here, he usually takes it for himself and tells you to go home. Everyone freely smokes blunts and joints on my block all the time. In fact, if I were to look out the window right now, I could see pot being smoked. Posession and use is generally tolerated, as long as you are around your house, but the cops are only looking out for the dealers who are fliping ounces or more, and of course the crack houses that are scattered about the city.

Yes, I've been busted. My friend and I were driving 35 down a street at 11 p.m and he got a flat tire. He pulled over to the curb, but it raises slowly into a sidewalk and it was dark.

Well, the cops behind us thought it was rather funny that a guy would try to park his flat-tire car up on the sidewalk. So the lights go on while we step out to change the tire, yada yada yada I got searched on the suspicion that we were driving intoxicated (we were very much sober), cop found a dub on me, and I got charged with possesion of illegal narcotics.

Yes, I know the laws. It was bullshit, the cop had no right to search me. Took it to court, lost, and got slapped with a $600 fine, one week comunity service, and 2 years un-monitored probation.

Nevertheless, I still respect the fuzz. There's dicks out there, but I'm not gonna let the one that got me screw it up for the good ones out there who actually do believe in protecting people from real problems. And I pay the last part of my fine off next month. =)

What can I say, I'm an optimist.

I hear ya...

There was a time between between ages 16-20 when I was busted for somethinhg every 3 or 4 months like 5 times in total. Never a DUI. I got hit for weed Driving down the road; bulled over for being a teen thay they knew smoked pot. (In the sububs the cops aren't that busy so they have time to arrest every kid they catch).

Another one for weed. A Pearl Jam concert in Miami where the people sitting outside the gates rushed it and lots of us got in.... 1993 I think. Somehow half of my friends got in the concert and I went to jail for smoking a joint.

other times where for harder drugs, i think three more times. total jailtime was 18 hours waiting to get bonded out each time. was on probation for about two years while these arrests happened.

two years of probation is all I ever got since I was in "Drug Court". I had to go in front of the judge every three months and piss twice a week. 1 weekly meeting. I ended up meeting so many people and getting good connects for everything.

How the hell did I never goto jail?

when i got my citation, i got a ticket for paraphenlia of 2 glass bowls(took blame for a friends bowl). they found bud, but i only had like half a gram left(ate the rest) and didnt charge me for it. i still had bud in my mouth and on my shirt and shit though lol. good times.

I've never been busted. but 3 of my friends have...

none of them got in any major trouble.

1. got busted at like 3 am, had a 1/4 ounce on him, the cop just said don't take this stuff out of your house and gave it back.
2. at school my friend was slanging, the drug dog smelled the weed in his car, he had almost an ounce, lil bags and a scale, could of got major fines but they let him go, the school just suspended him for 5 days.
3. my friend got caught hot boxing his car. he had a zong and like 1/8 of weed left. they confiscated the zong and the weed but no punishment was give.

overall in California they can't really do anything. they rarely fine you. and when they do it's light. the law is 28.5 grams or less is only a misdemeanor and the highest fine is $100.

I got busted walking home from a stoner session about half a mile away.

It was late. I thought I would try and intimidate a couple walking up the road towards me. So I pulled down my cap and up came the hood. I walked as if to take up the whole sidewalk/pavement almost causing the couple to separate and walk round me.

The separated and started talking shit to me while flashing me their badges. I stank of weed, and had i crossed the road I prolly would have gotten home and dry. Instead they said they wanted to search me cause i stank. They found a "BLIP" of resin/hash that wouldn't even have measured 0.001g on the scales...

I spent hours down the station. Fingerprints and all that bollX.. Now I don't think of intimidating people in the middle of the night, and I do all I can not to get caught scratchin my buddy sack.

ive never been busted by the cops, never really been in any trouble with the popo, ive only been pulled over once and thats wen i had my permit. other than that and one investigation im clean w/ the popo. i also never get tickets cuz i got a cop sticker on my car which pretty much makes me void for tickets and such. fuck the popo

Yeah i got pulled over and had about a 1/4 on me and was high and he knew it, he messed with me for about 15 long minutes talking all this bs then he took my bud and told me to have a good night. I was so relieved to not be in jail but my high was far gone and i had no weed

I got busted when I was 15. Me and a friend had taken a shortcut through a local park one night. It was pretty obvious we were just cutting the corner and we were'nt smoking or anything but apparently being in the park after dark was illegal.

Anyhow, were walking along and all of a sudden these two cop cars come driving up and fire up their lights. The cops jump out and throw us up against the car and we're like "wtf? What did we do?" They were total dicks and this one say's "shut up, well ask the fucking questions"

Then they pat us down and made us empty our pockets. I had about a 1/4 of really nice buds and I tried to palm them but they caught on. They took the buds and basically wrote us a ticket. Best of all, they drive us both home. Nothing quite like the look on your Dad's face when he opens the door at 11:00 at night and finds you standing there with a cop. LOL.

About two weeks later my parents get a letter in the mail saying how I was cited for being in a city park after dark, blah, blah, blah. Never heard another word about the weed though
