Need Home-Made Reflector Ideas
You do know for about 10-20 bucks you can get some sheet steel from Lowes or HD that is large enough to make 2 or 3 bat wings or one good closed hood. You do need to cut it and bend it but that is not hard if you think about it. You can bend it using 2x4's, some c-clamps and a dead blow hammer.

I also need 2 reflectors for my 2 lights I have, I was thinking sheet metal and cutting it with sheet metal scissors and maybe reviting them together.
ZANDOR- lets just say I am 2-2 1/2wks into flowering and I find out I have sum females, can I throw the females back into Veg. stage without hurting them? Im asking because I will so be cloning.
Need Home-Made Reflector Ideas
Yes but it will take them extra time to recover and the flowers that have started may still grow for a bit. They also are more prone to turning hermie if the temperature gets out of hand.

I made one out of some aluminum flashing that I got from home depot(roofing section). It come in all different lengths and widths. I ended up getting the 10" width and using two peices to make my reflector. It worked well but I think for my fall grow im just gonna buy a good reflector off ebay. Good luck bro-Diz:rasta:

I thought I'd post a link that you may or may not be interested in. Reciently, I had another project that required bending sheet metal. I know there's something called a bending break for such a purposed, so I did some googling and this is what I came up with.
About halfway down this page the author of this article shows how to bend sheet metal with a home made wooden bending break.

For my next grow i was thinking of cutting coffee cans in half and leaving the whole circle on the bottom and cutting holes in the bottom for the light socket, then just covering the concave part of the coffee can in mylar to reflect lite better...think it would work?
Need Home-Made Reflector Ideas
Personally I would not put the mylar that close to the heat source. Just for peace of mind. I've never tried to set it on fire but.....
You'd be better off either polishing the inside of the coffee can with nev-R-dull or painting it white.
If you decided to go that route. Even a big coffee can is still pretty small.
Guess it would be an appropriate size for cfls though. Maybe I'll try it for my seedlings!

Hey Jaxxxom, that link wouldnt work. I am going to get sum sheetmetal this weekend and make a reflector for my 150 hps. Do you think 150 is good enough for 5 plants? I do have 2 400 hps' but I need to wire them still and make thier reflectors also.
