That's when the belief of a Higher power keeps you alive. God put her son on Earth and he died fighting for his country, meaning that he has his place in Heaven. The same thing Mama Amina thinks.

I put the minor's like third eye on "CP ignore" as soon as they become unconstructive, critical brats who get a kick out of insulting mature adults who actually PAY taxes. You can't even knock sense into many of them because they are obviously too dim to comprehend not everybody believes the war in Iraq is the right thing to do.
BIRDGIRL...you are one of the few canadians I have actually made friends with....
it is unfortunate that a few half-wit, underage "discraces" to the canadian race voice their inbred, block-headed opinons on the internet and ruin any respect for canadians as a whole.

We were all young once rainbows. I used to get pissed at some of the youngsters, who thought they knew it all, too. Now I just sit back and smile when I think of the fact that 5-10 years from now reality will smack 'em up side the head-HARD.
Stories like this make the front pages, but we are in a war so it shouldn't be too surpising that people are getting killed. As far as supporting a draft though, no way I'd support it for Dubya's little war. If there was truly a threat to to world, like Hitler in WWII, then that would be a different story. But sending unwilling kids across the world to look for weapons that don't exist simply because it gives some little man a hard-on? No way!

There's only one small problem with what you said above, and it's the fact that I've never lived a day in Canada. I'm from Texas!

There already is a draft bill in congress right now although it probably won't get passed. Anyways in the bill it requires all people men and WOMEN ages 18-42 eligible for a draft. So if you are a girl dont think your so lucky..

i have a daughter but shes only 10months.. but if they did draft, id fuckin be proud to go. Let me make one thing clear, if i went to war, i would not be fighting for Bush or our government. Id be fighting for my country and my family.

18-42, eh? Heh, 14 more months and I won't be in that age range anymore. I don't think they can draft me anyway - I've served my time already.
