Looking great dude best of luck
Hey all! :smokin:
I changed my lighting system a little bit today. I took out the original 90 cm. fl tube I had installed on the side and replaced it with three 60 cm. tubes at 6100K (daylight). The tubes mounted to the hanging board are 5600K (as far as I remember---cool white). So, I now have a total of 8 fl's lights in there generating 13, 965 lumens. That's just a little over 2,000 lumens per square foot for my growing area.
I also fixed the side intake and exhaust to be as lightproof as I could get them while still retaining maxium air circulation inside the box.
As you can also see, I lightproofed the gaps in the box using black aquarium filter cut into strips and wedged into the openings.
This box is about as lightproof as it will ever get.
I also installed an air conditioner to regulate the temperature of the room thus regulating the temperature of the air that my intake fan is sucking into the box in an effort to keep the temperature in the box between 77-80 F. So far it has been working quite well.
I also took a picture of the door to my grow room and the window. These pictures were taken at about 2:00 pm my time and as you can see there is hardly any light coming into this room at all.
Also included is a picture of the filter I used to block out excess light coming from the box and a picture of the chain system I am using to raise/lower the lights.
Here are some pictures of my plants. I am going to go ahead and start flowering on Monday.
Some of the plants are much taller than others and this is probably because one batch was started a week earlier than the other batch and the plants in the smaller pots are using a different kind of soil (trying to experiment a little). I have also noticed the plants in the smaller pots are developing a sort of reddish-purplish color on the stems near the top of the plant. What could this be?
I am still having a problem with the lower leaves turning yellow. I fed them some nutes last night (20-20-20), so I am hoping it will clear up the problem in a day or two. I don't want to give them too many nutes though because I am afraid of "nute burn".

I'm to on a "mission from god", have yet to start it, soon. Plants are looking nice, congrats on all your work so far! It is nice to see more growers showing up that appreciate these plants! Good luck
Lookin good.
The 20-20-20 is fine for veg.
They look great
Grow on
The installation of the side lighting has improved my grow dramatically. I can easily see the results even after only a day and a half. I will post more pictures on Monday.
Thanks for the support! :smokin:
Jdog 7000, I seem to find conflicting information about what strength nutes to give during flowering. What do you recommend?
