use the bong if you must, but if ya try the charcoal you might like it better. once the coal is lit(covered w/white ash) drop a bit of oil with pin or paperclip directly on coal and draw smoke thru tube of some type. tube should be little bigger than average drinking straw. perfect size is cardboard tube off of clothes hangers from dry cleaner. anything with about half inch opening long enough to keep your nose away from the charcole
