1rst The so called republican and democratic parties both have the same goal, that goal for me is still undetermined but it is clear to me that they work in tandem for the same objective.

2nd Thats the brillance of bringing back the draft, not only does it create chaos, but at the same time makes a criminal of anyone not willing to serve, thereby takeing away his/her right to vote, if attacks are staged you can be sure that many will fall for the same card trick they did on 9/11.

3rd Current officials hardly ever blow whistles, chances are they know something and did little or nothing about it, which in the end puts them in the hot seat, not to mention any gag orders placed on them while holding a given position.

I have many friends currently serving in the marine... one is scheduled to deploy to Iraq next January but he told me he'll be in Iran before that ever comes. It's scary for me when it's coming directly out of a hardcore marines mouth, he absolutely LOVES this country and the marines, and even he thinks we will be at war with Iran.

Hey, the brilliance of bringing back the draft would be to place a huge check and balance on the government... Do you really live in fear of what jail you'll go to if you oppose a war and refuse to serve? Going to jail for refusing to serve is as much a patriotic duty as people who decide to serve. The draft is a policy nightmare for despots like the GW Bush or anyone who wants carte blanche with our troops.

If there is a draft, my ass is going to Canada. I would never go and fight. I think many MANY people would be protesting and reveal the truth about 9/11 before any permanent real damage is done. There will probably be another staged terrorist attack like 9/11. Luckily, not all people are as dumb as Bush. I refuse to be canon fodder for world domination.

If I get drafted, I'm icing every American I see as soon as I get over there. See where a force-you policy goes with people, these days. I know it sounds unholy, but when you pretty much know in your heart that these stains are making up shit in order to get at whatever they think they need to get at, what are you going to do? Disarm the invaders or disarm the framed? They'll fabricate another 9/11 or Pearl Harbor somewhere and, bam, another country demolished. How many times are you going to fall for this shit?

Even funnier is thinking a newly drafted private in the US military will all of a sudden have political worth. What the Hell are you thinking... That game is not as easy to play or buy your way into as you want it to sound. Sure, they won't be playing Playstation, but, they won't be talking to the senate, either.

People are worth dying for. US government is not. It wants itself front and center for everything in the world. Its the one creating the situations sending us to war and the UN every week, not my next-door neighbor.

I'm glad you have something to love in them, somehow. However, asking for drafts is a way to get your own men killed by their brothers who've had it up to the sky with the inability to trust people who think they need to be in charge and make up shit for the good of the nation... even when it comes to slaughtering a thousand of your own people with airplanes.

I don't want to hurt anyone, but it damn sure is not safe to draft random people these days. More than one lunatic will play along far enough to kill the sheep of a government unwanted.

I am sick of hearing the word draft tossed around with positive connotation. Being drafted doesn't mean you'll be the next congressman or president. It doesn't mean that you'll be worth more than a damn than if you had to just cheat to beat a level of Spyro the dragon that a 6 year old breezes through on your playstation.

Staged terror attacks are becoming a new thing to toss around, anyway. While it is a possibility, who knows. How many more times are you going to fall for this shit? I'm sure they are asking themselves the same question about us. That article does a great job of making that whole area look like iran could domino onto Iraq and gain support from a place they are already struggling to strangle into something else. Also, does a good job of making it look dangerous. However, we heard the same thing about Iraq in two different wars. The elite republican guard, anyone? However, anyone could go and say those things. I could have went and said those things. He made an article built around possibilities any disgruntled and disenchanted american could have come up with. I don't think you can give an article built of pure possibilities much merit, especially not in a time where anti-givernment buzz is skyrocketing with pearl harbor and 9/11 theories hitting the ears and eyes of the common, with concrete evidence for them to see.

However, not much more can possibly be tolerated from this government until we are united against. Be carefull what ideas and policies you wish for. Conveniences like, its not bush pushing for a draft don't take away from the fact that there's a bill being pushed for a draft. Jay Bennish is a social studies, American history and political geography teacher at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado. He joined the faculty in 2000.

On February 1, 2006, student Sean Allen recorded one of Bennish's lectures on his iPod. Allen took his objections regarding Bennish's class to the media, and this developed into an international story.

After being prompted by students to talk about the State of the Union Address given by U.S. President George W. Bush the previous evening, Bennish suggested that Bush's tone was "eerily similar" to that of Adolf Hitler's speeches (in that both were very ethnocentric), and that capitalism was "at odds with human rights". <<<<sounds like a bunch of people here

Bennish also posed the question, "who is probably the single most violent nation on planet Earth?", concurring with a student's response "we [the United States] are". He encouraged students to consider how other nations might see the United States and its allies, suggesting that "to many Native Americans [the American] flag is no different from the Nazi flag," and that Palestinians see the Israelis as "the real terrorists". Speaking about the U.S. "war on drugs" in Colombia, he made a reductio ad absurdum argument suggesting that other countries might have reason to drop chemicals on U.S. tobacco fields "to destroy the tobacco plants that are killing millions and millions of people in their countries every year, and causing them billions of dollars in healthcare costs".

The recording ends with Bennish saying, "I'm not in any way implying that you should agree with me. I don't know if I'm even necessarily taking a position. But what I'm trying to get you to do is to think [â?¦] about these issues more in-depth, [â?¦] and not just to take things from the surface. I'm glad you asked all of your questions, 'cause they're all very good, legitimate questions, and hopefully that'll allow other people to think about those things, too." Media reaction

Students protest Bennish's suspension.The recording was offered to a radio station (850 KOA) in Denver and to Virginia-based journalist Walter E. Williams, who mentioned it in a submission at Townhall.com. Other blogs picked up the story, and eventually Fox News and major newspapers covered the story. On Fox, Alan Colmes reported that "students walked out of classes [â?¦] after an audio tape was made public of [â?¦] Bennish ranting." In reality, the students were protesting in support of Bennish and against his suspension, and it was an MP3 recording, not a tape.

As the controversy attracted national attention, Bennish was invited to appear on the NBC Today Show in New York City. In the interview with host Matt Lauer broadcasted on March 7, 2006, Bennish maintained that his lecture had been taken out of context and that he had expressed opposing viewpoints later on during the class, which Allen had not recorded.

Some news reports indicated Bennish was indoctrinating students rather than teaching geography. However, the course syllabus reveals an intent to encourage critical thinking about "religion, human rights, notions of development and underdevelopment, [the] impact of colonialism historically and currently, sustainability, [the] impacts of modernization on developing countries, [the] globalization of economy and culture, political and international conflict, cultural diversity, and global environmental concerns." Parents had all signed papers indicating their awareness of this course content.

Innaccuracies in the recorded lecture
In the recorded discussion Bennish made statements which were inaccurate as phrased:

He said that the U.S. was the world's largest producer of cigarettes; in fact, China, India and Brazil now manufacture more cigarettes than the United States. It is true, however, that the U.S. is one of the largest cigarette producers.
He stated that North Carolina is responsible for most of U.S. tobacco production, although the USDA estimates that the state contributes only 37% of national production. North Carolina does, however, produce more tobacco than any other state.
He implied that the U.S. was a large net exporter of tobacco, while in reality the U.S. imports 50% of its tobacco.
He stated that "the Israeli-Zionist movement" assassinated the British prime minister in Palestine. The closest individual fitting this description is Lord Moyne, Minister Resident for the Middle East, who was assassinated by Lehi in 1944, a few years before Israel came into existence. The incident would be more accurately described as "Jewish extremists assassinated the British minister responsible for Palestine".
He claimed that the FBI had an office in the World Trade Center, which was not the case. However, the CIA, the Department of Defense and other U.S. government agencies did have offices there, and former FBI agent John P. O'Neill was the head of security at the Center.
He claimed a recent Damadola airstrike (missile attack) against Al Qaeda in Pakistan resulted in the deaths of 75 people, none of whom were members of Al Qaeda. The official death count was 18, although some claim as many as 25 were killed, possibly including some who were known Al Qaeda members.

Aftermath

Bennish being interviewed by various reporters.Bennish was placed on administrative leave by the Cherry Creek School District, whose policy requires teachers to present varying viewpoints when tackling controversial subjects. Bennish hired ACLU lawyer David Lane to represent him, and Lane contended that Bennish's First Amendment right to freedom of speech was being jeopardized. Some legal scholars contend that the First Amendment is not protected in a high school setting. When asked in an interview with host Peter Boyles on the Denver radio station KHOW to explain his personal views, Bennish declined and he would not comment on his party affiliation. He also declined an interview with KOA talk radio host Mike Rosen, although Lane encouraged such a dialogue.[1]

Bennish's father, who lives in Bennish's hometown of Beverly Hills, Michigan, revealed to the media that he had received at least a dozen death threats. [2] Bennish himself and Allen also received threats, but no party involved was attacked as a result of the controversy.

On March 10, 2006, the Cherry Creek School District announced that it would reinstate Bennish; he returned to Overland the following Monday. Cherry Creek Schools Superintendent Monte Moses said that "Bennish doesn't deserve to be praised, nor does he deserve to be fired" and that "Jay Bennish has promise as a teacher, but his practice and deportment need growth and refinement." Bennish's lawyer said that the teacher would alter his style, "giving both sides more contemporaneously.(<<<YEA right) When he gives the yin, [he'll] give the yang right then and there â?? don't wait a day, don't wait an hour, don't wait a week. Put it all out at the same time." [4]

Upon returning to the classroom, Bennish conducted a discussion on the controversy and explained the nature of his future classes, which would focus less on classroom discussion and more on textbook-based assignments. Students lamented the change; Leia Schiavone commented: "It's a lot more fun to learn from Mr. Bennish from his lectures than from the textbook. The textbook doesn't have everything that's going on in the world. We're not going to be learning as much."(as much anti america bullshit) [5]
