Stoner vs. pothead

doesnt really matter.. i tend to call myself a pothead more then a stoner though, but i use both... i just love the herb :D

Definately a stoner, but have been called a pothead on several occasions, once by a former employer who ended up 'letting me go' after I blew a ring of ganj smoke in his face on the job, and many other times by old school mates who wouldn't dare touch the stuff, lol!

I think it's funny now, because many of those 'school mates' who called me a pothead, ended up coming to me years later looking to buy...The irony!

I think both terms can be viewed as being negative, depending on who uses them, though, but fuck the labels, man! I just like to blaze, and chill...

Ok so I was just wondering how many people would claim themselves to one of these titles. Me myself am a stoner which I believe is someone who smokes weed alot, but also makes moderate grades and dosent dedicate there whole lives to weed. According to you - I'm a pothead because I smoke everyday and weed is a part of my life, much like a son or a first love would be. But you say that because I'm a pothead I should have had shitty grades and a general 'not-give-a-fuck attitude.

I have a MENSA-qualifying IQ of 146. I graduated from high school with high honours, and I have a degree from the University of South Africa.

I have studied the piano for 10 years now. I'm a qualified teacher (though I don't teach) I have a B.Mus degree from University and I have completed the entire syllabus of music from Grade 1 to Grade 8, theory and practical. I am currently doing two diplomas through correspondence - one in transportation and logistics through college, the other in basic philosophy through university. My ambition to learn will probably keep me in school for the next 10 years.

I firmly believe that marijuana has helped my life. It has enlightened me to the power of the human mind. I started smoking marjiuana regularly on February 15th of this year. I had tried it in the past a few times, but didn't enjoy the negative experiene due to smoking so much, for a first timer. You use pothead as a degrading term, and while I don't claim that title, marijuana has become the center of my life. Why and how? While I enjoy being high as often as possible, when I'm not high I am doing extensive research on marijuana cultivation. Up until high school I was a straight A student in all of the advanced classes. When I went into high school, alot of shit went down. My father and grandfather died within a year apart of each other, the school was harassing me because of how I was, and all of this was before I started smoking pot. Now, I'm failing 90% of all of my classes, but marijuana certainly isn't to blame. I just realized that it's pointless. I am an extremely talented writer, musician, and artist and I can perform alot of tasks. If I can't make a living off of my natural talents, then I'm sure I could find a job working with nature. In fact, marijuana has given me a better appreciation for all types of nature. It gave me a huge amount of respect for earth, the environment, and enabled me to come to the conclusion that marijuana prohibition is ridiculous. I honestly believe that it has enhanced my life. When I am high, my mind wanders and I think of amazing ideas, theories, and ponder the meaning of life and just appreciate all that I have. I am not "burned-out" although I smoke nothing less than mid-grades daily. I am still able to carry on a conversation and my social skills have only improved. I am a nicer person ever since discovering marijuana. It has enlightened me. If I had a choice between one of the labels to be identified as, I'd chose stoner. Actually, I'd chose naturalist or hippie.

Also, WTF does "another brick in the wall" have to do with being a pothead or a stoner? Nothing, wtf's the point? lol

I'm definately a Stoner but if someone were to shout hey Pot Head I would probably look round.
